Terri grew up like many, no privilege, no “difference”, and surely, NO handouts. Terri likes to say that the key to how she was able to get to where she is today is through prayer, perseverance and family. The three successful keys to life that she often shares with her clients that require ‘creative financing’. The reality is that more and more mainstream financial institutions are turning to creative financing, thus, having hundreds of individuals reaching out to her for coaching and financial assistance. Standing Out

Making a name for yourself in the industry is not an easy process, as it requires time and patience. Terri has been in the industry for over 30 years, allowing her to obtain knowledge of the industry and started sharing the information with family and friends. She became the go to person in her family, and then her friends, and then friends of her friends and so on, asking her questions on “how do I buy a home?”, seeking out her valuable knowledge.

Obstacles

With many years of experience came obstacles of course. Terri is very honest about her journey, which caused her alot of pain, but with the pain came countless lessons in the real estate game. She has gone through foreclosure, crazy debt with tons of late payments, medical bills, and even bankruptcy. Coleman shares her journey with such honesty because she believes her process happened so she can educate others how to avoid the hard obstacles that she experienced. 

Overcoming Obstacles

Along with a lengthy journey comes obstacles, it is inevitable. Fortunately, Terri was able to overcome these obstacles, and she believes she overcame these issues because of her spirituality, which is a big part of her. Coleman believes in the M.A.P. process which is something she coaches on and that is mediation, affirmation, and prayer. She is a strong believer of the Christian faith and it has always been a part of her since she was a child. Terri then ends this note by concluding “I lead with faith, thankful for grace & mercy last but not least I let God handle my battles.”

Uniqueness 

Coleman is so unique within her industry because she is a real and genuine person. She is aware that there are so many people putting out false ideas on how they have their lives all together when in reality they are as common as butter on rice. Whereas with Terri, what you see is what you get as she is the one who will not just help you with your loan application, but sometimes even be the listening ear you need when you have issues outside of your loan. She acknowledges the fact that people are human first and once she tapped into that, her clients became more than solely clients, as she treats them as family.
