Kafuné Amor Hair Care Creates Innovative Lace Wig Care System Do It Yourself Lace Wig Wearers

There is no doubt that a woman’s hair is her crowning glory, a part of her body that exemplifies her femininity and helps in boosting her everyday confidence and sometimes, unseen conditions interrupt a woman’s natural process of hair growth and maintenance. Women around the world have experienced hair loss due to medical conditions, regardless of their ethnicity and cultural background, and it is for this reason that entrepreneur and hair care enthusiast Shemika Jackson created a Kafuné Amor Hair Care to help women achieve their desired look while wearing lace wigs. Uniquely designed to cater woman, especially to Black women, it is a hair haven committed to bringing out women’s confidence by making them feel secure and comfortable with their hair as a result of hair loss.

Kafuné Amor Hair Care provides lace wigs accessories and hair solution products that are both effective and  gentle for the scalp. From the time of its establishment, Shemika and her team have successfully customized hair units for hundreds of clients. Her business and exceptional products are a product of years of thorough research and dedication to give all women quality services and hair products.

Ever since she was a young girl, Shemika has always envisioned herself going into business in the hair care industry. Inspired by her family, mentors, and influential professionals, she pursued a business degree in college and eventually built a career as a tax accountant. Some time in 2003, the budding professional noticed a thin spot on her head which grew larger over time. Worried about her condition, Shemika started seeing several specialists, hoping to find a cure. She has tried several shampoos prescribed by these specialists and even went through a scalp biopsy. In 2004, she was diagnosed with Cicatricial Alopecia.

Desperate to find the right kind of treatment and eventually a cure, Shemika started getting steroid shots on her scalp, but to no avail. The situation resulted in an emotional rollercoaster that affected her well-being. Eventually, however, she found the courage to slowly accept her situation. Instead of giving in and living hopelessly, Shemika opted to take an aggressive stand and did her own research to have a better grasp of her condition.

Convinced that her scalp will never go back to the way it was before getting Cicatricial Alopecia, Shemika came out with a design option to mask her rare hair condition. That season in her life opened doors of opportunity for her to penetrate the hair care industry with her innovative ideas and passion to help other women like her. If anything, Shemika found her real purpose in life. In 2007, she established a wig business to help women battling hair loss.

Over time, Shemika realized it was time to diversify and expand her business. She developed Kafuné Amor Hair Care in 2019 to provide women with quality lace wigs accessories and products designed to address their lace wig maintenance and application problems and wig care needs altogether. Shemika may have had a painful and traumatic experience at the onset of her Cicatricial Alopecia, but she also became instrumental in helping other women rise above their hair struggles.

Shemika, at this point, still has big dreams for her business despite her undeniable success. “We see the brand in multiple stores and salons. We see expansion on the product line to cover lace wig hair care and individual hair care. We believe in taking care of our natural hair just as much as the lace wigs. We also see the brand expanding to help individuals that are suffering from hair loss. We are looking to help provide solutions for individuals that are suffering from permanent hair loss. We have a special space for these women,” she explained.

The amount of care and concern that Shemika and her team extend to their clients is admirable and encouraging. Women can be confident that they don’t have to journey alone when overcoming their hair struggles. Thanks to Shemika and Kafuné Amor Hair Care, women can find the courage to move forward despite their hair conditions.
