Ryan Allen is Revitalizing the Jewelry Industry with Jewelers Connect

As an independent jeweler, Ryan Allen began his career at a small shop, designing his own jewelry lines and growing his customer base. However, the more he became involved in the industry, the more he discovered that jewelers across the country were closing their shops – and nobody was stepping in to fill the gaps. Looking for a better way to enhance the jewelry shopping experience, Allen developed and launched Jewelers Connect, a revolutionary platform that not only makes it easier for consumers to design and buy custom jewelry – but is poised to transform the way independent jewelers do business.
“Independent jewelers are closing all over the United States because they do not know how to connect with today’s jewelry shoppers,” Allen explains.
While many independent jewelers own and operate small in-person businesses, they have often struggled to adapt to the rapidly changing digital marketplace. Between building a website, marketing their services, and connecting with their clients online, jewelers without technological expertise and experience soon discovered that they were missing out on a vital sector of their consumer base.
“I decided to create Jewelers Connect to provide these family-owned businesses with the opportunity for success.”
Jewelers Connect has already been lauded for its impact on consumers – the AI-powered platform makes it simple for customers to build and design custom jewelry, and quickly connect with hundreds of jewelers on the platform. Jewelers can make bids to create the pieces, accept payments, and ship jewelry to their customers in a safe and convenient way.
While Jewelers Connect stands alone as a unique C2B platform, empowering customers to take designing and buying decisions into their own hands, it also has served to revitalize a struggling industry, creating a vast community of jewelers who, for the first time, can help each other. It is a groundbreaking program that allows larger shops with an abundance of projects to outsource work to skilled craftsmen – and gives independent jewelers another way to continue their trade while increasing revenue.
For jewelers across the United States, the Jewelers Connect platform saves them time, effort, and resources spent advertising and marketing their services. Large-scale jewelers can now post their product and service needs on the platform, and connect with other skilled jewelers who bid on the work. Jeweler’s Connect is backed by the Jeweler’s Board of Trade and each business that joins the platform goes through two rounds of vetting and investigation, ensuring that every jeweler on Jewelers Connect is safe, professional, and capable of completing the work to the highest standard possible. Shipped products are fully insured, adding an additional layer of security to the platform.
For Allen, creating Jewelers Connect is part of a greater mission. As part of the jewelry industry and an artist in his own right, Allen is committed to rebuilding a vibrant and diverse community of independent jewelers, giving both businesses and consumers the greatest experience when designing and buying custom pieces.
“We really are building a community of jewelers, which is the only way that we can solve the crisis that we are currently facing,” Allen says. “As a result, jewelry shoppers are having amazing, personalized, secure shopping experiences while receiving the best deals possible from trusted, skilled jewelers.”
