Interview Questions:
- How did you get started as an entrepreneur?
-
- My journey into entrepreneurship has been fueled by a passion for understanding consumer behavior, driving business growth, and making a positive impact in both the business and educational realms. I always knew that I wanted to create and be a part of a business that would disrupt an industry, and that’s what led me to co-found Acclero Medical and launch our flagship product, UltraClear®, the world’s premier cold fiber laser designed to cater to all skin tones.
- Throughout my career, I’ve gained invaluable insights into analyzing consumer buying trends and positioning products and services to drive significant revenue growth for businesses. Prior to launching UltraClear, we enlisted the help of a focus group comprised of board-certified dermatologists. The results were overwhelmingly positive, as our product was described as “unique,” “favorable,” “a comprehensive rejuvenation solution within a single modality,” and “a solution to every conceivable laser-related issue” – and that’s when I knew this was something groundbreaking and the next big thing the aesthetics industry was waiting for.
- What is one lesson from a challenging moment or failure you learned?
-
-
- My partner, Shlomo Assa, the respected co-founder, President, and CTO of UltraClear, instilled in me during a time when my self-confidence was wavering because of lack of industry experience that I must remember that I am putting in the work and so much be overcome with a never-give-up spirit. At that moment, he also taught me that if someone does not believe in us as a team, for whatever reason, and does not think we are good enough for them as business partners, then they are clearly not the right business partners. I have lived by that ever since!
-
- What is one business lesson you would tell a startup founder?
-
- As someone who still, to this day, is mistaken as an assistant and often sits at tables surrounded by men, my advice is to women founders: we must rise above self-doubt, commit wholeheartedly to our endeavors, stay focused, and turn our visions into realities. By persistently pursuing our objectives, we reshape our roles and break free from outdated stereotypes. Always keep your eye on the prize.
