5 Bloxers to Watch

Entrepreneurship, if done right, is one of the most difficult journeys an individual will take on if they so choose.  Betablox, a Kansas City based company that runs a national incubator produces a reality show that gamifies the experience.  The Blox, hosted by reality TV star Wes Bergmann, is the largest live in startup competition on the planet.  Early stage entrepreneurs of all industries compete in a week long pitch competition where they are judged on their comprehension and pitch execution of daily topics such as lead generation, customer success strategies, branding, and more.  Each season, Bergmann assembles a diverse panel of judges to ensure every entrepreneur receives a well-rounded experience.  Some past judges include Alex Golimbievsky, an incredibly successful tech founder out of Tulsa Oklahoma, Bryan Laughery, founder of ClearCut PR, and Heather Beck of K9 Lifeline.  All three of these judges could be found on Season 10 of The Blox which is most easily viewed in The Blox app.  The entrepreneurs that compete on the show take pride in their title as “Bloxer”, and below are 5 Bloxers to watch for as they take what they learned from the show into their businesses in real life.

First up, Ishmael White and Macie Schaeffer, the dynamic duo behind Equip Academy, a leading force in the Fitness & Fighting Industry. With a clear mission—to teach people to be their badass selves.

From branding and marketing to operational systems, their success is a testament to the transformative power of knowledge and community support.

When they’re not busy revolutionizing the fitness world, Ishmael and Macie can be found enjoying board games, hunting for the best wings in Portland, or cheering on the Trail Blazers. Their passion for life is infectious, reflecting their commitment to helping others unleash their inner badass.

As Ishmael puts it, “The Blox was life changing. It was the missing pieces of like-minded people and information that we couldn’t find anywhere else.”
