5 Content Marketing Hacks: Useful Tips and Expert Strategies

In content marketing, content is king. Creating content that can attract and engage your target audience should be a top priority for brands looking to grow their online presence. Content marketing has been around for years but it continues to evolve as technology changes. In this post, we will talk about 5 content marketing hacks you can use to create more content, increase engagement rates and drive traffic back to your site!

1. Post to Medium

This is a strategy that is frequently neglected, but it can result in an enormous number of visitors to your site. Medium is completely free to use and gives a wealth of knowledge on a variety of topics. Only post the first few paragraphs of your article to optimize for the highest CTR, and encourage visitors to go to your website to read the rest.

If you want to go above and above, make certain that you optimize your old pieces – that means revising outdated concepts, photos/screenshots, and stats (as well as all links) to make them more relevant to the current year. Also, double-check your keywords. Consider including a section that explains keyword topics that are relevant but not included in the content if you’re ranking for topic phrases.

2. Leverage Data to Optimize Your Content

Leveraging data from content can help you produce a content strategy that is more relevant to your target audience. If you’re not sure what type of content should be included, look at the competition and see what they are writing about. Use Google Trends for this purpose – it allows you to select keywords and check how many times those keywords were searched over time as well as which countries had the highest number of searches. You could even use keyword research tools such as SEMrush or Moz Keyword Explorer if needed.

3. Write in-depth content

One content marketing hack that is overlooked by many content marketers is the ability to write in-depth content. Longer posts with more information can be found to rank higher on Google, and often times they are shared at a much greater rate than shorter pieces of content. It’s also easier to get content shared if it’s longer because you can offer more value in that piece of content.

4. Write high-quality guest posts

There is no content marketing hack that beats the content of a good guest post. If you’re wondering how to get more content on your site, look for other people who have an audience and ask them if they would be willing to write something for your blog as well. Not only will it give you another piece of content but those links can help boost traffic back to your own content – which will likely lead to more conversions.

5. Hone your CTA skills

Whether it’s a content piece, a landing page or even an email campaign, the CTA is one of the most important parts to any conversion. You should always put yourself in your user’s shoes and ask yourself what you would need from that content in order for them to take action. Is there something they want? Do you have a discount code available only if users fill out their information? Your content marketing strategy can be successful without using all of these hacks but utilizing at least one will make sure that every bit counts.
