Bass Tales / Bassist Of the Month

A musical alchemist at heart, Rudy collides the elements of earth, fire, wind, thunder and water within his compositions. The result is one of epic proportions, a concoction of electric bass subgenres and orchestral elements that showcase the breadth of his musical vocabulary. Having emerged onto the jazz scene in 2012, this major Israeli – NYC based music maker has been cultivating a loyal following of fans ever since.

By merging pop elements with monstrous sub-bass, larger-than-life grooves, weighty drum hits and creative sound design, his epic sound has manifested itself as a strain of new jazz music that is unique to him. An academically savvy musician from an early stage, Rudy has been practicing and performing live music for many years with other iconic musicians like 7 times Grammy Nominee Haim Cotton, Grammy Nominee Charlie Wood, Tony Kosinec and Senri Oe, to name a few.

Rudy’s was influenced by the revered Victor Bailey who inspired the electronics / pedals integration within his productions. For Rudy, it’s the adrenaline of playing his music out live, whether it be in an intimate club or a huge festival setting, that keeps him constantly motivated to create music. It’s this undeniable passion for creating music that has led to him receiving sought after band leading invitations from exciting music halls and festivals such as Levontin 7, Cosa Nostra, Museum Of Natural History (D.C The Barbie, Metropolitan Museum, Kibutz Glil Yam, The Zone, The Bitter End, Groove, Seeds of Peace. Recently, he has recorded yet another track with Grammy winner guitarist Jose “Cheo” Pardo’s. Currently he is touring the New York area, putting the final touches on numerous forthcoming projects, Rudy looks sure to continue to grow his blossoming reputation within his signature jazz rock through his emotionally-provocative, orchestral-pop inspired sound. Look for his next concert – this scene leader will include new material and we guarantee it to be a gem.
