Executive Voice

Here’s How to Nail a Six-Figure Sales Job with Bella Verita

You’ll never be homeless, and you’ll never go hungry, as long as you can sell. That is a fact by sales sorceress Belle Verita. The founder and CEO of Align sales is a sales genius with the ability to make sales sexy. Starting up early in the field, Verita has used this skill to rescue herself from dire situations multiple times in her lifetime. You might think five years is an early age to start making money, but with her, it isn’t. The serial entrepreneur has been working magic since that age and has not stopped. Her passion is to help women create financial independence through the art of sales as a service.

So what does it take to make a successful career in sales? Well, according to Verita, you must have the mindset, qualities, personality, the skills, the three C’s of getting hired, and the vision. Let’s break it all down a bit.

The Mindset

Even before you make your first sale, you must have the mindset to push through and close the deal. According to Verita, certainty sells. That means locking in on an outcome no matter the circumstances you might have against you. Even without experience in the field, the certainty that you will sell is enough to make the sale. There is no limit to what you can accomplish if you take no for an answer. Close the deal in your mind before you even get there. Exercise your certainty regularly to condition your brain for success.

The Qualities

Every powerhouse salesperson has two main attributes. The first one is listening, reflection, and empathy. Listening skills are a vital aspect of making a successful sale. To be able to provide a solution to a customer, you must have the capability to listen to their problem first. That’s the only way you can be of assistance. The next step is reflecting and understanding your client’s problem, followed by empathizing. Whomever you are selling to needs to feel heard and understood. That is impossible to execute without being empathetic. The sales industry needs a heart-centered, soul led person who can help people elevate their life with solution-oriented sales.

The other quality is never to mind rejection. Being rejected is not fun in any way, but you should not let that get to you if you want to make it in sales. According to Verita, you will get a no 7 to 12 more times than a yes. That only shows you will have to find a way to deal with rejection. Realize it is not personal. Find out if you are the cause and if you are, find a way to get better next time.

The Personality

Most might ask if there is a personality for sales. Well, the answer is yes, excellence. To be the best salesperson, you must be someone who can perform wonders when put in a tight situation. Sometimes you might not have the proper training needed to do something, but you are expected to be able to handle business when the need arises. Be bold and shine in such situations. Bring out the dominant you and maintain influence.

Sales Skills

This aspect is not that important while starting because you get these skills after gaining some experience. After having the right mindset, acquiring the skills you need will come eventually. What skills are we talking about? They include ambition, confidence, ability to face rejection, establishing rapport, qualifying skills, time management, presentation skills, strategic thinking, ability to learn market knowledge, self-improvement, and getting around gatekeepers. Find out which skills you need the most improvement in and get better. There is no limit to how good you can get.

The Three Cs of Getting Hired

At Align sales, Verita uses the three C method to hire the best saleswomen. They include connection, confidence, and convenience. In case you find yourself getting interviewed for a sales job, you have to be capable of establishing a good rapport and connection to win the interviewer over. You never know what question they will throw at you when the probing starts.

Consequently, try showing confidence and calmness through the session. Answer questions with ease, and don’t let any of them rattle you. Sometimes someone may be reluctant to hire you at first. With all the confidence you showed to this point, you can go on and convince them why their company should hire you. Show them why they need to pick you regardless of the reason they tried to drop you in the first place. Claim the job you want and convince them you are the best and there’s no reason for them even to interview anyone else. It is also an opportunity to show them how you deal with rejection.

Vision

You can’t get anywhere in life without having a vision of what you want to achieve. Figure out the best opportunity for you, which people you want surrounding you, what you are good at selling, company cultures vital to you, values, your earning potential, number of working hours you can take, and future opportunities. Every one of those aspects is essential in building a successful career in sales.

In conclusion, implementing Verita’s sales tips is a sure way to make it in the sales world. Do not let anything stop you from earning your financial freedom. Embrace sales as a service to others.
