CEO of CW Petroleum Corp Chris Williams: Small Details Can Make The Biggest Impact

When it comes to owning and operating his own company, Chris Williams, is no stranger to overcoming challenging obstacles. The truth is that no matter which industry your business falls under, you will eventually be faced with difficult decisions. However, Williams has found a key that unlocks how to siphon out issues before they even come to the surface; paying attention to the small things.

Williams, CEO of CW Petroleum Corp (OTCQB: CWPE), has been part of the energy industry for over ten years. He first began working under S&P Global Platts, a leader in crude oil and refined products publications. Williams got a taste of how the industry conducted business, as well as recognized what needed to change within the energy market. An opportunity soon arose for him to become a business owner. Williams decided to jump on board and he began working on his plan to develop a company that would provide more niche fuel services, as well as have direct lines of communication with their customer base. The Texas corporation of CW Petroleum Corp was born in 2011, bringing biodiesel and biodiesel fuel blends to market and proprietary EPA-approved ethanol-free gasoline to distributors and end-users starting in 2015. With his experience in the industry and his expertly trained team of professionals, Williams was able to slim down his risk for competition within the market. CW Petroleum soon began a specialty blender of biodiesel fuels, providing their targeted base of consumers with complete fuel services. Throughout every step of the process, Williams takes pride in recognizing how the small, seemingly minute, details of business can lead to some of the biggest changes for his company.

As a business owner, you are often trained to constantly have your eye on the bigger picture. This is because it essentially helps with goal creation when you have your overall goal clearly in mind, as it gives you something to work towards. However, this can unfortunately lead to an issue where smaller details are neglected. As its core, maintaining focus on these smaller aspects of your business can sometimes make or break your success. Williams states, “The devil is in the details” and goes on to say, “You really need to look into the finer details in order to properly understand something. Skimming important things, especially when it comes to business practices, will never fare well”. Williams practices what he preaches throughout every aspect of business operations at CW Petroleum, everything from customer experience to overseeing documentation gets the same level of care and expertise. This level of value placed on detail orientation is sometimes a challenge for bigger corporations and it may reflect in their overall business practices. Wavering attention to details could lead to a decreased customer experience, distrust in the company, and improper management of team members. Williams is committed to providing his client base with a quality experience, from start to finish, as he takes the extra steps needed to ensure this.

Paying attention to, and taking care of, the small matters of your business proves the professionalism of your company. It allows you to catch potential issues before they become damaging to your company or how you are conducting business. Managing and being enthusiastic about problem solving, even the small details, can set you apart from your competition. Never underestimate the power of the small things, as small things always add up to greater things. Instilling these values within your team members and providing them with proper management does make a difference. The devil really is in the details.
