Chameleon Ville, a Cross-Chain NFT Game & Community Experience that begins on Secret Network; the first ever Layer 1 privacy-preserving smart contract protocol, built on the Cosmos Ecosystem. Since the launch of Secret Network’s NFT Marketplace Stashh.io, Secret NFTs have been gaining popularity and attracting quality projects and smart investors from all around the crypto space. What SecretNFTs does is revolutionary and its capabilities include private ownership, access control and private metadata (similar to the metadata of Ethereum NFTs but with the added benefits of hiding certain traits except for solely the owner) which allow for lots of new and exciting creative expression.
Latest of the bunch, Chameleon Ville is set to bring a Game & Community experience to many chains across the crypto world and deliver a fun, charming, rewarding and engaging world for all separate chains to connect to. With this brief introduction out of the way, let’s crack on with the article.
Hello NFT visionaries!
Times are crazy for those who can keep up with the latest tech and trends. As some of you might have already heard; nowadays Chameleon Ville is hot. The project was initially announced shortly before the launch of Secret Dogs, with a 60 second animated promo video where their French chameleon mascot teased us from his Parisian apartment.
The announcement gives us a good idea about what to expect and promises the Secret Dog Owners an exclusive opportunity for a “Whitelist Pass” for Chameleon Ville.
Behind the project are obviously the founders of Secret Dogs which is the first NFT Collection on Stashh which happens to be the first ever NFT Marketplace on Secret Network. Secret Dogs was a huge hit within the community and was the fastest sell out in Secret NFTs history. According to the reports 64,750 $SCRT of sales took place in less than 60 minutes!

What exactly is Chameleon Ville?
Chameleon Ville is a Cross-Chain NFT Game & Community Experience which allows you to be a resident of Chameleon Ville where you can customize the appearance of your home both interior and exterior, play games that are either shared across chains or chain exclusive and compete on the leaderboards. Earn money through playing those games whether. Meet and chat with fellow residents at meeting places such as cafes or restaurants and make long lasting friendships. Buy or sell items and furniture at Chameleon Ville Marketplace spending the in-game currency Cham (₵). Be a part of an ever-expanding community and become a legend in the Ville. Your character, your money, your choices.
Reasons for Cross-Chain and Why Start with Secret Network
An NFT game Cross-Chain serves the collective goal of decentralized finance. This way Networks are not polarized but brought together and each Network’s communities learn and get to know more about other communities which increases awareness and adds value to multiple Networks.
When asked about their reasons for doing this on Secret Network their answer is the community. The Secret Network community knows them and this is where they think high-quality NFT projects should start, where they are trusted, giving them more marketing power. The move from Secret to future planned networks like Solana or Avalanche is something they’re very excited about because of the awareness it’ll bring.
More about The NFT Collection
Chameleons are minted and are entry passes for Chameleon Ville. They can of course be traded on NFT marketplaces. Each Chameleon held, be it on one wallet or several wallets, is a unique character in the game. Minted Chameleon’s metadata ID is linked to their Game Profile upon logging into Chameleon Ville. The NFT and the Game Profile are then linked, so the selling or buying of an NFT also transfers all the In-Game items, assets and currency of the Chameleon.
Aesthetics and Collection
The Art Direction is fancy, elegant, fun yet not chaotic. It looks like they are going for top quality with every detail and achieve a unique yet desirable approach.
Following are some of the beautiful residents of the Chameleon Ville that can be minted.
With a total supply of 4,444 the Chameleons’ main features are:
Background: Color, Gradient, Special
Primary Color: Color, Material, Special
Secondary Color: Color, Spots/Stripes
Headwear: Hats, Caps, Beanies of all sorts, Color Variants
Innerwear: Shirts, T-Shirts and other Innerwear of all sorts
Outerwear: Jackets, Coats, Robes, Scarfs of all sorts
Neckwear: Collars, Glowsticks, Special
Mouth Type: All sorts of mouth variants
Eye Type: Lids, Color, Special
Eye Color: Color, Special
Facial Accessories: Glasses, Goggles, Monocles etc. of all sorts
* Designed with rarity and desirability in mind to ensure each minter is satisfied with their Chameleon, whether that be the Chameleon’s looks or its metadata.
* High quality and print-ready.
Each Chameleon minted can be processed through Chameleon Ville and be linked to their In-Game identity. Upon launching the game, players are given the choice to select their preferred Chain/Network and doing so prompts them to their wallet connection. (Note that the Chain on which you have minted your Chameleon is the Chain you’d start playing from.)
Each Chameleon owned is linked to a profile on Chameleon Ville with which the owner can customize quite a lot of things. Chameleons will be the identity and profile picture on Chameleon Ville.
The Chameleon can be minted on various chains like Secret Network, Luna, Solana, Avax, Ethereum, and this sets the player’s region to reside in Chameleon Ville. Once it starts the player has a default home that can be customized and level up spending Cham (₵).
Below is the unfinished isometric concept art view of the outdoors in Chameleon Ville.
Here is an indoors snippet of a living room that serves as both an NFT Showroom and a place to invite fellow residents in Chameleon Ville to admire the artistic and creative expression of the owner. The entire house is fully customizable, meaning anything can be bought, sold and exchanged.
Used furniture can be listed for sale or bought Cham (₵) using the in-game marketplace or just quick-sell is an option for a quick buck. The marketplace is an ever-growing shop full of items and furniture that are updated with new content regularly. Though we must note that content updates can change between Basic, Special and Exclusive. These updates can be anything; a set of chairs, new patterned walls, new painting frames or a 1 of 1 Grand Piano piece. You name it.
Players can keep their houses completely private, invite only or public for their own chain or public for cross-chains.
The social aspect of Chameleon Ville is quite important to the Game Design.
Players are free to go to cafes and restaurants and even attend events in the cross-chain town center to socialize and meet new people. In-game chat through direct messages and private inbox for friend requests make communication much easier.
Where Fun Happens
To have fun and earn Cham (₵) in Chameleon Ville, playing games is the way to go. Games can of course be both Chain-specific (e.g. A game that only Secret Network Chameleons can play) or Cross-Chain. Every game Casino or Arcade has their own leaderboard, both chain-specific and cross-chain. Also there are time events for games that reward top players with special furniture, items, Cham (₵) or all three.
