Dominique Carole Maraj- An entrepreneur at her finest:

Dominique Carole Maraj

As a woman, Dominique Carole Maraj has had her share of trials and tribulations in the business world. Her resilience paid off and today she runs two successful businesses in skincare and an educational therapy practice as a psychologist. Dominique doesn’t plan to stop the growth anytime soon and currently has her own fitness line in the works. After enjoying a rewarding career in the corporate world where she headed up several companies in the travel, education, and cosmetic industries, she eventually stepped away to start a family. When asked about continuing her creative pursuits, she hasn’t dismissed the idea of exploring future projects having enjoyed a brief stint in Hollywood and Bollywood in her earlier years.

Dominique doesn’t shy away from a challenge and believes that she is truly lucky to be a woman in today’s world. “We are tremendously blessed to be living in a time in history that so many women before us have fought for; that we may enjoy these freedoms and progress towards equality.” Born in Mumbai, India on January 16, 1981 and raised in Kuwait, Dominique enjoyed a very global childhood. It was one that gave her a deep appreciation for the values of culture, freedom, and most of all her family. She considers her three young children, Maddox 7, Maleah 3 and Mariah 1, to be her biggest source of inspiration, giving her the drive to keep moving forward and setting an example for what is truly possible.

With an impressive educational background, she obtained a double major in International Business and Psychology, a Masters in Health care and a PhD and Industrial Psychology. Dominique equally values the need for real world experience which she provides for her children through a fulltime travel lifestyle. “I want to teach my children never to limit themselves; if they want something, then they should go for it in any area of their life. And I try to set an example for them every day in all my pursuits. “

When asked what lies ahead for her, she simply answers that she wants to leave a legacy of a life well lived. To give back to this world more than she has taken and left it a better place because of her existence; she wants to teach her children to do the same. Partnering with local initiatives on their travels allows her the ability to introduce her children to different cultures and gives them exposure to people from so many walks of life. She shares that they are blessed to have a truly global experience every day.

Passing on a beautiful message to her audience, she says “life is too short to live it on anyone else’s terms so don’t limit your dreams.  And especially as a woman, know that you never have to pick and choose between your family and your career, today we can truly have it all. It won’t be easy but it’s possible.” She also adds “Life is beautiful, and we are all here for a purpose. Once you find that purpose, the universe will always find a way to help you achieve it.”
