Emily Black on Why Working for Yourself Is More Liberating than a 9-to-5 Job

Life’s path is often unpredictable, uncertain, and full of twists. When you think you got it all
figured out, life throws you a challenge, changing your plans and making you take new avenues.
That’s how things unfolded for Emily Black, an internet sensation and a top adult star for
OnlyFans.

From a young age, Emily Black worked odd jobs, including at a farm auction when she was 14,
in a pub at 16, in a kennel at 17, and an exotic pet shop from 16 to 19. She also did a summer
job in a horse yard, as a waitress, a shot girl, and with “Pets at Home” before moving to pole
dancing.

Eventually, Emily liberated herself from the clutch of 9-to-5 jobs and became a cam girl and an
OnlyFans adult star at 20. When she completed six months on OnlyFans, she hit six figures a
month. Emily also made her way through the top 0.01% of content creators worldwide.
Besides, she is now the director of four companies.

When asked why she chose this career, Emily said –
“I always knew there was more to life than living the same five days to look forward to the last
two days of the week. I always wanted more but didn’t know how to get there. I decided I
either wanted to work with animals or be so rich that I can save as many as I can. I started sex
work out of desperation for money and realized how much money there is to be made – I really
enjoy it but mostly enjoy the freedom.”

If we look back to Emily’s early life, she had top grades in college studying animal management.
Later, she enrolled in Harper Adams University to study for an advanced degree in zoology with
entomology. She dropped out after a year as she found the students awful and malicious. They
harmed animals and kept guns with them. The University paid people not to inform the police.
Even after her super successful stint with OnlyFans, Emily Black’s love for animals has remained
intact. In 2021, she started working with “The Dog Team UK” and fostered a dog rescued from
the Korean meat trade. She began sending money monthly to support the campaign and also
pays for animal surgeries or additional costs. Her ultimate goal is to build a facility where she
can bring the dogs to the UK and keep them there until their rehabilitation and adoption.
Emily also helps people in need. During Christmas, she uploaded a TikTok video suggesting if
single mothers did not have enough money, and she had sent them £250 each.
In her personal life, Emily is quite close to her mother, who is also her best friend. Her mother is
also the one who got Emily so much into animals. Currently, she has dogs, cats, sheep, chickens,
and a horse growing up.
