What is VeeCon?

VeeCon 2022 is the entrepreneur mogul Gary Vee’s new creation. A multi-day superconference where exclusive NFT ticket holders will gather and participate in a historical experience with an extraordinary lineup of keynote speakers, Q&A sessions, and innovative and educational talks for a massive number of NFT ticket holders.

The event is planned to be held yearly for three years, starting 2022 and forward. The event itself was the first of its kind since it’s exclusive NFT ticket-based and for the web3 community.

The first VeeCon 2022 was held in Minneapolis, MN, in the U.S. Bank Stadium from May 19, 2022, to May 22, 2022.

Who is Gary Vee?

Gary Vaynerchuk is a serial entrepreneur, the Chairman of VaynerX, and the CEO of VaynerMedia. In 1978 Gary immigrated with his family to the USA from Belarus, and they settled in a studio apartment in Queens, New York, before relocating to New Jersey. At the age of fourteen, he joined the family business bagging ice earning two dollars per hour.

In the 90s, Gary discovered the possibilities of the internet and started to transform his father’s local liquor store into one of the first wine e-commerce platforms resulting in growing the family business from $3-60MM in sales over five years.

Gary´s unmistakable charisma and ability to connect with his community made him appear on national television on big shows such as Conan O’Brien and Ellen DeGeneres. Gary was an early investor in online-based companies like Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Coinbase, and Uber. His social media channels have over 34 million followers and gain around 272 million impressions per month. He is a five-time New York Times Best-Selling Author and one of the most highly sought-after public speakers.

VeeCon 2022

The impressive line-up for the first event consisted of well-known creditable names such as Deepak Chopra, Steve Aoki, Pharrell, Mila Kunis Liam Payne, Logan Paul, Eva Longoria, Mad Dog Jones, Chris Gallagher, Snoop Dog, and of course Gary Vee himself. The future-based topics that will be discussed will be The Rise of NFTs in Media, Public Policy & Blockchain, CryptoCurrency, the NFT Marketplace, Decentralized Storytelling, Smart Contracts, and On-Chain Gaming, among others. VeeCon had partnered up with several companies that wanted to be at the forefront of the digital future. Pepsi, Ledger, Captain Morgan, Immutable X, and Johnnie Walker, were all bringing their personal touch to the event, and some even special built lounges in the arena. Gary Vee says that VeeCon is inspired by his personal favorite events when it comes to business conferences, music festivals, and summer camp activities.

Is NFT ticketing events the future?

The current form of the event ticketing industry is fading, and NFT ticketing has entered the market and are on the rise. Several Music artists such as Deadmau5, Ja Rule, and Shawn Mendez have released their own NFTs and rewarded their fans who buy them with exclusive benefits before, during, and after their concerts and events. Now when Facebook runs its own Metaverse and the virtual reality has soon moved into everyone’s home, NFT technology is sure here to stay, and we probably will see many VeeCon inspired events created and hosted by the most prominent brands to tie the relationship with their audience and customers to create an experienced-based inspirational festivals with speakers and artist that goes in line with their message for their companies and brands.

The era of blockchain technology is here and predicted to stay. You either be part of it or stay out of it as long as you can, but just as the internet itself once was considered a “trend,” can you afford not to get into it now?
