Scott Proposki is the founder and CEO of Photos in a Minute, LLC. a dynamic event-photography company that delivers a unique photo experience nationwide. He has photographed superstar musicians, high-profile politicians, and major media sensations. Scott is also, like thousands of other Americans, an adult with ADHD.
Increase in ADHD
Adult diagnosis of the disorder has increased massively since the dawn of the new millennium, as medical science learns more about how ADHD works and how many different ways it can present. For these people, a diagnosis of ADHD—or even the suspicion that they may have it—can mean a deep, fundamental change in their self-perception and their lives. Many are left wondering what it means for their relationships, their life goals, and perhaps most important, their careers.
Over the course of his life and career, Scott has managed to adapt to and even capitalize on the traits that might have once stood in his way. Camera Focus chronicles the lessons Scott has learned—often the hard way—struggling to navigate his high aspirations, his creative passions and his undiagnosed ADHD. His book shares tools, strategies, and Scott’s own personal stories to guide professionals who may be struggling to find a path from their current position to the future they’ve envisioned for themselves.
From the technical and artistic aspects of photography, Scott draws analogies between common career struggles and the specifics of camera work. You will learn how to select and maintain the right “viewfinder” for your career, why it’s important to “bracket” your opportunities with lots of back-ups, and how the manage your “shutter speed” for an optimum rate of growth. Like any photography project, Camera Focus is designed help you get from the inception of an idea to full, beautiful realization.
Reaching the next level
While it may be especially resonant for creative professionals or for people with ADHD, Camera Focus is a book for anyone who feels unable to reach the next level—or unable even to focus long enough to decide what the next level is. It is for anyone who is frustrated by a lack of growth or an inability to rise above old limitations. It is for anyone who is looking to cut through the noise of the modern career counseling industry and get right to the heart of the matter: How can we create a vision of our future success and then make that vision a reality?
Learn how to adjust your settings, find your point of view, and bring that picture into perfect focus. For more information on the book visit www.camerafocus.com
