Fintech NYCE And Digital Media Pioneer Danny Cortenraede Launch Fund To Issue $500M+ In Real Estate Through New App: ‘We Want To Create 100,000 First-Time Real Estate Investors’

On the heels of a record-setting 2020, fintech NYCE is joining forces with media mogul Danny Cortenraede to launch NYCE’s tech-powered real estate fund NYCE IMPACT.

Built around a mission to create 100,000 first-time Millennial and Gen Z investors, NYCE IMPACT will manage NYCE’s existing $500M+ real estate development pipeline via NYCE’s app.

“Since launching in April, we’ve helped almost 2000 people of color become first-time real estate owners through our portfolio,” said CEO Philip Michael, who’s gained awareness through his popular finance Instagram page.

Founded by real estate influencer Philip Michael and FC Barcelona striker Martin Braithwaite, the “Robinhood of real estate” fintech recently became the fastest company to sell $1M in real estate shares through two different raises on Wefunder and Republic.

“And we pretty much started from zero—zero dollars, zero followers. With Danny and his wealth of experience, we can scale this investor community and make some serious impact.”

A digital media mogul, Cortenraede is the Managing Partner of Wannahaves, a leading digital agency powered by its platform 433. With 44M+ followers across its digital assets, 433’s the biggest soccer community online, according to Forbes, generating a whopping 5B+ views per month.

“That’s the type of experience and knowhow that will help us reach the goals to empower people through access to community and top investment opportunities,” said Michael, who has an active $478M+ joint venture with award-winning skyscraper developer LYND.

In addition, Cortenraede is CEO of InStudio Ventures, an early stage seed fund which invests in esports and sports tech, leveraging a value-add strategy and a high-powered network.

“Real estate and communities are things I’m extremely passionate about,” Cortenraede said. “We can utilize that reach and knowhow from my day-to-day business to recreate a community and investor powerhouse.”

NYCE recently launched its invite-only community TRIBE.™, a wealth-hacking collective where first-time investors network with self-made millionaires, seasoned investors and successful entrepreneurs.

“We started 433 from nothing and created a multi-million dollar franchise,” said Cortenraede, a serial entrepreneur and investor. “Philip and Martin started their portfolio from scratch also. Besides granting access, we really want to empower people to take control of their financial future.”

Earmarked for a Q1 debut, Michael said the first investment offerings are expected to include a 327-unit complex in Texas, a Philadelphia project and a follow-up to NYCE’s smart tech complex by Temple University that counts Chicago Bulls forward Wendell Carter in its investor line-up.

The trio said they’d be adding more stars to the community and the investor lineup.

“That’s definitely something we’re looking to explore further—especially with our respective networks—to add more stars,” Cortenraede said. “Kids look up to their idols and how cool would it be to invest and own alongside your idols?”
