What Is Social Selling?


Most people naturally tell friends and family about new products, services, restaurants, and other venues they’re excited about! That’s exactly how social selling works, but we get a kick back from those referrals.

Now, obviously you shouldn’t refer any product or service to your network that you don’t believe in or personally use. Unfortunately, a few bad apples happen in any profession, which is why heart-centered empathic leaders are needed more than ever in our profession and have natural skills that give them an edge. 

Successful social selling hinges on these two things: how committed you are to your product and how much you’re willing to put yourself out there. Empathic social sellers rarely struggle with the first. 

And if you’re an Empath in the social selling space, you may already struggle with how to work with your energy and still become massively successful. That’s where I come in!


Hi, I’m Luna Ashley!


I’m an empathic, six-figure social selling mentor! But my “before” paints a different picture. 

I used to be a teacher who suffered from grand mal seizures. After exploring a mix of eastern and western medicine, I became Usui Reiki Level III attuned and gained control over my epilepsy. 

Now I just needed income from a source that didn’t drain my adrenals every day. I took to the internet and started educating other energetically minded people about Reiki, crystals and added in a direct sales side hustle for a bit of extra cash.

However, my first experience with direct sales didn’t go well, as the brand wasn’t authentically me, so I didn’t see any great success with that first social selling gig. I got burnt out on the “hey girl” cold-messaging racket that felt icky and out of alignment. 

I partnered with a new brand but this time, I did it MY WAY and infused manifestation practices into the modern network marketing structure with a product that I could get behind. In just 18 months, I went from my little $500 to over $1,000,000 in sales and a team ripple of thousands. I later retired my husband, earned our luxury car bonus, and bought our family dream home. 

Empath, it’s possible to explode your social selling business WITHOUT abandoning yourself in the process. Here are four effortless changes empaths need to make to scale a social selling business to new heights!



Effortless Change #1: Learn to Work With Your Energy


Stop giving your power away! It’s crucial to learn to work WITH your energy instead of against it. Plugging energy leaks that manifest as imposter syndrome, popularity striving, and censoring your authentic language will help you achieve major success in the long run.


Effortless Change #2: Stop Following Hustle Culture


Of course, you must put in the work to be successful. But if you keep up the hustle-all-the-time-no-rest-mentality , you’ll be burning out at both ends! You’ll feel stuck thinking you’ll never be able toslow down. 

This cycle will cause you to lose focus and your business will plateau. This is why my first network marketing gig was a flop. I wasn’t social selling in a way that felt authentic to ME. I was in constant push mode. 

If you want to shatter records and scale your network marketing business to new heights, you have to work with your energy and not against it. 


Effortless Change #3: Stop People Pleasing


Working to please other people won’t serve your business long-term. Your upline may be amazing! But if you’re being pressured to perform in a way that isn’t authentic to you, or if it’s energetically draining, you’ll eventually burn out, plateau, or worse—give up on a calling that’s on your heart. 

It’s important to learn that unconditional love doesn’t mean unconditional access to you. You don’t need their permission to be authentically you!

Get out there and boldly offer your services and share your favorite products! You can do this while also simultaneously protecting your energy and your future business growth.


Effortless Change #4: Avoid Limiting Beliefs Like the Plague


There are so many limiting beliefs surrounding wealth and money. Most people, whether they admit it or not, approach money, and social selling, from a scarcity mindset. 

Here are a few common limiting beliefs surrounding money:

  • “I can either do what I love or make money, but not both.”
  • “I have no control over becoming wealthy.”
  • “I don’t know how to start making money.”
  • “Money can’t buy happiness.”
  • “I’m not worthy of being wealthy.”
  • “Money should be saved, not spent.”

Have you heard or said any of these? Like all limiting beliefs, each and every one of these is all about perspective. 

Empath, if you don’t shift your perspective around these money beliefs, they will contribute to the crumbling of your business. Stop listening to the negative thoughts and experiences of others in the social selling world! Remove that negative energy from your inner circle!
