How Dr. Tanjia Coleman is Revolutionizing Diversity and Talent Management

Workplace diversity has become a crucial element for success and a yardstick for fulfillment in the office.  Years back, the clamor for an inclusive work environment was not as pronounced.  In recent times, the advocate for a rounded work environment is fast climbing up the chart, pushing many organizations to reevaluate their organizational strategy.   However, building a diverse and inclusive workplace culture is not an easy feat.

According to celebrated innovator/solutionist Dr. Tanjia Coleman, her experience working in different fields inspired her to step in to provide a more sustainable solution.  Tanjia Coleman founded Reimagine Organization Development Inc. (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Leadership Development, and Training) in 2017 to revolutionize diversity and talent management in the workplace.

Dr. Coleman is helping organizations to build a more inclusive workforce and leverage available resources to ensure they remain solvent, customer-reflective, and world-class.  She provides creative client-focused solutions that net measurable results as she reinvents the talent management space.

Dr. Tanjia Coleman says that her goal is to assist organizations by providing customized diversity and leadership solutions that not only address blind spots but also align with their projected organizational strategies and business outcomes.

“I know how it feels to deal with the inequities, microaggressions, and glass ceilings in many large organizations.  This is why I have made it my mission to provide solutions that ease the path for those joining various companies,” says Dr. Tanjia Coleman.  As a person of color, she counsels leaders on building environments where all team members can freely embrace their authenticity while collaborating on ideas.

Before starting ReimagineOD, Dr. Coleman solidified her expertise by gaining experience within multiple industries: aviation, technology, publishing, retail, non-profit, government, and early & higher education-

Her personal and professional experiences were the motivation for ReimagineOD.  The saying, “variety is the spice of life,” comes into play as Dr. Coleman explains that she discovered three distinct needs for businesses and team members working in various fields.

Dr. Coleman found out that there is a lot of diversity-related exclusion.  She believes there is also a lack of innovative learning methods through leadership development, talent management, and coaching.  ReimagineOD now seeks to bridge the gap between these shortcomings and create innovative solutions that help leaders and team members accelerate their success by providing strategies that revolutionize diversity and talent management.  Reimagine Organization has worked with various non-profit organizations, early and higher education institutions, and Fortune 500 organizations, as their excellent track record continues to set them apart.  They consult with their clients to provide customized diversity and leadership solutions, addressing all blind spots in the industry.

As a woman-owned and run business, ReimagineOD is also committed to empowering women.  With her unique perspective, Dr. Tanjia Coleman has established Executive Women of Command, a network and platform for women who want to continue to excel in both their personal lives and careers.  Through the platform, Dr. Coleman shares her incredible journey to the top, from a young, resilient entrepreneur, to becoming the president of one of the leading organizations in business while earning a Ph.D.

Her efforts in the corporate and entrepreneurial space have not gone unnoticed.  She has received several awards, including a Visionary Award from Benedictine University, Crain’s Most Notable DEI Executive, HR Influencer, HR Leader of the Year, and several journal and best research paper awards.

Dr. Tanjia Coleman is resolute about changing the working environment and, even better, inspiring and mentoring young entrepreneurs and people of color.  Dr. Tanjia Coleman continues to revolutionize diversity and talent management and provides creative client-focused solutions that net measurable results.
