How Fausto Castellanos Was Able To Find Success And Overcome Addiction & Sexual Abuse

I was able to have a quick chat with Fausto Castellanos who is a recovering addict who suffered from sexual abuse and many other unfortunate events. We were able to talk about the first time he tasted success and what success means to him. Here is what he had to say:

When was the first time you tasted success Fausto?

February 2019, I realized my mind has been quiet for weeks. This is being truly present without a worry in the world, knowing that I’m not where I want to be, but I can honestly say if I was to be on my deathbed today, I would have no regrets.

I would imagine knowing you don’t have any regrets in life feels good! So, why do you want to be successful?

I want to be successful to let my mother know she never has to worry about bills again, so she can focus on her artwork and health. My ultimate vision for myself is Author of Several Books on self help, speaking at a Ted Talk, traveling the world being of service. My end goal has already happened once, I was saved from my addiction.

Thank you for sharing your amazing story Fausto! Do you have any last pieces of advice for readers at home?

If you don’t know who you are, then make that your number one, focus. How do you do that? Learn to be aware of what you have resentments towards, let them go with forgiveness. Forgive yourself for your wrong doings. Make amends to those you hurt that wont hurt them in the process. Be authentic with your life and help someone else who needs it. Purpose is found through the service of others.
