How Laboratory Marketplace Adapify is Modernizing Outdated Industry Practices

When it comes to finding and purchasing lab testing services as a consumer, the process is not always as sleek and modern as the laboratory itself. Dominated by more than 40 years of dated practices, the industry is often ridden by complex ordering procedures, outdated processes, confusing reports, and inconsistent turnaround times that can leave consumers frustrated and in the dark. It’s what inspired Adapify, a laboratory services marketplace, to find a new way to connect customers with the testing services they need.
“There are over 10,000 labs in the United States, but these laboratories generally have not been able to stay on pace with the evolution of general consumer purchasing behaviors and customer support expectations,” explains Neil Wood, the company’s co-founder.
Where these thousands of laboratories see hurdles, Wood and his team see opportunities. With a unique blend of speed and expertise, the company quickly identifies market needs and introduces new services within weeks. Its first brand, RxSoil, provides a wide array of consumer-friendly lab testing for soil around the home.
This rapid adaptability—an ode to the company’s name, Adapify—comes from its integration of flexible artificial intelligence to enhance customer experience and provide efficient solutions. For example, Adapify is leveraging generative AI and large language learning models, says Wood, to speed up test development and the customer service experience.
“We are now three or four years ahead of any competitor because of the investments in these technologies,” he points out.
Wood also attributes Adapify’s game-changing approach to its streamlined consumer journey. Current commercial laboratory operations are set up to service industrial clients on a large scale, rather than the single homeowner looking to get her garden soil tested. Adapify incorporated best practices such as transparent pricing, straightforward language, and extended service hours, including evenings and weekends, to cater to the everyday consumer.
“Whether it’s growing better blueberry plants in your garden or getting insight into the water coming into your home, it is about having an insightful report that goes beyond the basic numbers and a real person you can talk to for any other questions you may have,” says Wood.
With what Wood calls an unwavering commitment to excellence, Adapify is working to set a new standard in the laboratory services sector. The company is already preparing to introduce additional brands under the Adapify umbrella, including water, air, allergen, and mold testing.
Advancing technology and passion for its customers is helping Adapify bring an outdated industry up to modern standards while helping to bring customer access to laboratory testing into the mainstream. Learn more about Adapify and its approach to customer-centric laboratory services.
