How To Become A Social Media Influencer

Social media influencer

Some years ago, the main medium to spread information was the newspaper, it was the radio and later the TV. Now we are using the advanced technology of social media. Social media is connecting the whole world and information can spread in some seconds. New trends start from social media platforms and touch millions of people. Influencers like Heidi Grey and Mati Marroni share and promote products about beauty, health, fitness, and lifestyle. Social media became part of most people’s life.

Society spends a lot of time creating, sharing, and liking content on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, or TikTok.

What does social media influencer do?

Social media are internet-based applications where users interact via text posts, comments, likes, or life events. It is totally based on user-generated content. From photos, text to videos- you can create all types of posts.

The most popular social media are Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and Twitter.

Social media influencers are often promoting products, habits, or attitudes. They have a very wide range of followers who are interested in the content. There are influencers who promote a healthy lifestyle, presenting beauty products or clothes.

It is a discipline of online marketing. Influencers simply influence others´ buying decisions with their authority. With special marketing on a very personal level, they reach out to a targeted group of people to affect their buying habits.

How do I become a social media influencer?

Find your niche

When you are new to the subject, start to read and learn more about the influencer business. You must find a niche where demand exists. Starting on content that is used a lot is very difficult because the competition is very strong and they will take you as a beginner down.

Find something special where you are professional and passionate about. A niche where you have experience and expertise.

Create a proper concept

Make sure to have a concept before you get started. Just starting through without having a proper plan can take you down faster than you can imagine. Make a good plan about the finance, marketing, design, and every other detail you can think of.

Understand your audience

For your success, it is absolutely important to understand your audience. What kind of people are following you? What is their interest? The age-range and region can help you to create content that attracts your followers’ interest. It totally depends on what you promote and which audience you want to convince. Young people might have a totally different interest than people in their 40s or 50s. Make sure you know what their interest is and how you have to design and create your content to catch them.

create content regularly

As a follower, we want to be entertained and updated all the time. Social media users have such a big range to choose whom they want to follow. If you don´t create content regularly, you will lose followers.
