How To Build a Personal Brand That Catapults Your Entrepreneurial Empire

My 8+ year journey as an Entrepreneur has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride. I have had more than my fair share of failures, setbacks, and gut-wrenching disappointments. On the contrary, I have also experienced high-level success that has other entrepreneurs reaching out to ask me my “secrets”. So far in my career, I have been fortunate enough to build a worldwide 7-figure sales organization, publish my #1 New Release book Beyond the Classroom: The Unconventional Education of an Entrepreneur, and host one of the hottest podcasts for young people looking to level up in life – The Unconventional Education Show.
When people ask me for advice, there are a few things I always share:
You must work on your mindset every single day.
The only way to fail is to quit.
It is vitally important, especially now more than ever, to double down on your brand.
What is a “personal brand”? Well, ultimately, it is how you promote yourself. It is the public’s perception of your story, expertise, and experience. More importantly, in an age of social media, it is the most crucial factor of whether or not a customer will do business with you. The best part about a personal brand? You control the narrative.
Here are three tips for building a powerful personal brand that will result in more influence, more market share, and more business.
Your brand must represent the most authentic version of yourself.
There is only ONE you and there will only ever be ONE you. Own it proudly. This is your most valuable asset. Use it to your advantage!
Stop copying other people and acting like somebody you are not. People will catch on, and you will lose their trust immediately. The most important thing you can do is unapologetically show up as your 100% authentic self.
Your weird quirks? Do not hide them! Is your story full of adversity? Share it proudly! Being vulnerable and allowing people to see the real you is the biggest key to winning their trust and loyalty.
Focus more on the value you are bringing to the world and less on always trying to sell.
Social media is full of people who have a product, service, or opportunity to sell. The ones whose sole focus is to sell it to their followers will lose. The ones who focus on bringing as much value as possible to their followers will win.
When you are continually pumping out free value to your followers, they will look forward to more of your content. Also, they will be more likely to share your content with their friends and family. If you take this approach, eventually they will feel compelled to pay back all of the value you have given them for free, and they will do so in the form of buying your product, service, or opportunity.
Make sure that your niche becomes synonymous with your name.
What is your profession? Are you a Real Estate Agent? A Network Marketer? A Barber? A Life Coach? An Insurance Salesperson?
When people think of your name, they should immediately correlate it to being the dominating force in your industry. That means staying educated on your field of expertise and always pumping out the value in the form of content surrounding your profession. Your investment in your brand is the key to winning a more significant market share in your industry.
