Iconic Musician Charles Wright to Release New Music in 2023

Los Angeles – Charles Wright, the iconic American singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, announced that he is set to release new music in 2023. The news has delighted fans worldwide, who have eagerly been waiting for new material from the acclaimed musician.

Wright’s career has spanned over five decades, during which he has been hailed as one of the pioneers of funk and soul music. He first rose to prominence in the 1960s as the lead singer and founder of the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band, which scored a string of hits with songs like “Do Your Thing” and “Express Yourself” in the 1970s. His music has been praised for its innovative blend of funk, soul, and jazz influences, as well as its socially conscious lyrics.

“I’ve been working on some new material that I’m really excited about,” Wright said. “I think fans will really enjoy it.” His new music features a mix of funk, soul, and rock influences, with a particular emphasis on guitar-driven grooves, touching on themes of love, social justice, and spirituality.

“I think the new music reflects where I’m at in my life right now,” Wright said. “I’m still passionate about music and creating, but I’m also at a place where I want to explore new sounds and ideas.”

Charles’ new project isn’t limited to music. His accompanying book, titled “Express Yourself,” delves into the creative process behind his music and shares personal stories and insights from his life as a musician. In the book, Charles opens up about his journey as an artist, from his early beginnings to his rise to fame, and the challenges he faced along the way. He also provides advice and tips for aspiring musicians and artists who want to express themselves and create impactful work.

With new music set to be released in May of 2023, fans can look forward to hearing the distinctive blend of funk, soul, and rock that has made Wright one of the most beloved musicians of his generation.
