Internet Entrepreneur JunaidKazi opens up about his new venture and how he plans to Disrupt!

Disruptors are known for causing radical change through innovation, often revolutionizing industries. It’s a perfect word for describing Muhammad JunaidKazi (aka @Junaidonrecord), A Digital Marketing veteran, Internet Entrepreneur, Ad Man and Thought Leader from Pakistan with extensive experience and command in Advertising, Brand Development and Public Relations. He is well-known for the viral and creative campaigns that push the limits for his worldwide clients ranging from the tiniest of startups to famous global brands and organizations like Unicef, Water Aid, Motorola, Pizza Hut and Airbnb, to name a few.

Last week we at Disrupt got a chance to have a candid conversation with Junaid, which we’ve drafted for you as an exclusive Interview and We’re pleased to present it below.

Q: We’re honoured to speak with you today. Why don’t you start by telling us a little about yourself? How did you get to where you are today?

Hey, It’s my pleasure. Thanks for being so kind and generous with your intro. I don’t deserve all of that. and to answer your question, Yes, Ever since I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Marketing and Sales, my work life has been a roller coaster ride but yeah, a delightful one! To put things in perspective, I started my professional career at the tender age of 14 as a freelance graphics designer out of my immense love for design and branding. Later turned to Radio and became one of the country’s youngest Rjs of that time. I did that for five years straight, after doing almost all sorts of shows and genres; I took an exit and finally went to a space where I truly belong, Advertising and PR. I got trained at a few outstanding Ad agencies and conceptualized winning campaigns for them before I launched my own with the name of “Media Inbound” back in 2016, where we offer services like Brand Development, Visual Identity, Production, Web Design, SEO, Social Media Management, Marketing, Communications Strategy and PR.

Q: WOW! That’s a lot for someone who still ages 27. I’m sure success must not have come easy. What challenges have you overcome?

Hehe, honestly, I can quickly come up with a very inspiring PR story, like the ones we craft for our clients every day, but I’d like to keep it real here. I don’t see life like that; the moment my parents allowed me to pursue marketing as a career when everyone in the extended family thought otherwise, I knew that no matter what life throws at me, I’ll pick it up and make something worthwhile out of it! So even if there were any challenges In my route towards achieving my goals, I treated them as fun and exciting roadblocks and kept putting them away with hard work, dedication and passion. It’s not like hardships didn’t come. From betrayals in my personal and professional life to me going bankrupt twice due to poor investing and financial decisions, I’ve seen all of that and by God’s grace, grew strong out of it too.

Q: How do you see the Year 2023? What are the challenges and opportunities, in your opinion?

I’m pretty pessimistic; there will be chaos at large regarding the world economy, hunger and poverty. In an analysis released on Thursday, the Institute of International Finance predicted a global economic growth rate of just 1.2% in 2023, a level on par with 2009, when the world was only beginning its emergence from the financial crisis.

Unfortunately, most people working in the tech space will lose their jobs, just like what we saw in the last quarter of 2022. From top-quality professionals managing giant tech companies to freelancers earning bread online, all of them will suffer partly due to the shrinking economy and majorly because of the rise of AI and machine learning.

In terms of opportunities, In 2023, we will see the continuation of innovations and developments in transformative technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the internet of things (IoT), virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), cloud computing, blockchain, and super-fast network protocols like 5G. Moreover, these transformational digital technologies do not exist in isolation, and we will see the boundaries between them blurring, bringing us many opportunities to create “intelligent enterprises”. I also see significant growth in social media celebs and influencers, Inflation and supply chain security consultants, and Immersive customer experience developers and businesses working towards sustainable living solutions.

Q: Talking about AI. Have you always been a more vigorous supporter and admirer of it? How do you see it now when most influential people like Elon Musk states it is more dangerous than Nukes?\

Yes, I am a tech geek and always admire every invention that makes life easier and the world more sustainable. It has already started revolutionizing the world in ways humans could never have imagined. On the contrary, I do agree with Elon too. AI is, of course, quite dangerous and can cause tremendous damage If it gets into the wrong hands. Many ways increase the responsibility of developers and AI companies to keep it safe from elements that could cause destruction.

But practically speaking, We can’t stop the rise of AI in any way. It’s going to take over the world before we get to know it and replace all humans currently working as Copywriters, graphic designers, digital marketers, Assembly line workers, drivers, phone operators, telemarketers, cashiers, pick packers, Postal workers, courier riders, Stock traders, Chefs, cooks and shortly even Doctors, anesthesiologist, surgeons, Soldiers, guards and Pilots also.

Q: You’ve painted a horrific picture. Is there a way we could safeguard ourselves from the damage done by AI?

A., Of course, there is. Ultimately, it’s a technology humans have created and it’ll always need humans to command and control it. We’d have to let go of our old obsolete skills and learn what matters today. Once we do that, there are going to be limitless opportunities and untapped areas in the AI space, both as employees and tech entrepreneurs. Like my recent venture, “Your PR Wire” is the world’s first Ai powered pr news wire platform.
