Executive Voice

Interview With 17 Year Old Matt Lorion

  • Explain who you are and what you do
My name is Matt Lorion. I’m a 17-year-old entrepreneur & social media influencer with over 1 million followers. I run multiple branded eCommerce businesses, dropshipping stores, a mentorship program, online courses (that teach others how to become an entrepreneur), and also trade Forex.
  • How did the idea for your business come about?
The idea for my main mentorship business, A1pha Enterprises, came about when I was thinking of different ways to teach others how to become successful in entrepreneurship. There were many various courses out there, but nothing broad enough for a newcomer to fully understand.
  • What was your key driving force to become an entrepreneur?
I never saw myself working for someone else, and wanted to become financially free. The end goal was to build myself up, financially & physically, and then inspire others my age to do the same.
  • How did you come up with the name for your company?

I wanted to create a name that would represent power and security. Hence the word “A1pha” and “Enterprises” in the name. The 1 in A1pha represents how we strive to become the #1 leading course provider for aspiring entrepreneurs.

  • How did you raise funding for your venture?

The creation of the business was mainly free, with the most time being spent recording, edit, and set up the course system with every student having their own personal dashboard. By doing this, the revenue made was almost 100% profit.

  • How do you build a successful customer base?
I built a successful customer base by first gaining their trust through my TikTok account (@mattlorion). Then I would promote my courses through that social media page.
  • How do you market your business, and which tactics have been most successful?

I market my business by making tutorial type videos on TikTok which then have a plug for the courses at the end of the video. This tactic has been most successful seeing as it gets the viewer intrigued enough to want to invest in themselves, therefore purchasing the course.

  • What kind of culture exists in your organization, and how did you establish it?

The culture is self-growth oriented. Every student has the will & drive to become a successful

entrepreneur. This was established by inspiring others my age to also want to become financially free.
  • How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
I got the idea after seeing other successful businessmen in the industry sell their own courses online, and I wanted to create something more in-depth while making the students feel more comfortable through their own personal dashboard to access the courses.
  • How do you advertise your product/service?

We mainly advertise the product on my social media pages (@mattlorion), all of which being 100% free traffic. This would include TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.

  • What are your company’s goals?
The end goal is to create a mobile app that is similar to YouTube which allows students to watch educational content in a more structured, affordable, and entertaining manner.
