Hi Bo Luke! How are you?
“I’m fine, yourself?”
Where are you from?
“Detroit, Michigan (Metro Detroit).”
When did you start music?
“Throughout middle school and high school, I would freestyle in the classroom, at the lunch table, and in the locker room. I didn’t start taking it seriously until about 2018.”
How did you get into music?
“I’ve been around music since I was born. My parents, aunts, and uncles listened to everything from Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye to Shania Twain and the Bee Gees. However It was my older cousins who introduced me to hip hop, they made sure I knew every Biggie and Jay-z song bar for bar haha.”
What is your greatest inspiration for your music?
“My city. Artists like Tee Grizzley, Payroll Giovanni, Big Sean, and countless others have done a great job of telling their stories from the inner city, but I want to tell the world my stories from across the other side of 8 mile.”
What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?
“Growing into myself as a person. I was always well-liked growing up, but at times I felt like a Black Sheep. I just learned to embrace my differences and wear them as a badge of honor.”
What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?
“I aim to capture the human experience. I want to make people laugh, cry, and everything in between.”
Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is coming out? What is it about?
“I’m always in the studio cooking up, but right now I’m just focused on networking and building my brand. The people can expect new music in 2022. It will be more melodic and more personal.”
