My name is James Bene and I am an intuitive healer, mentor/ influencer, teacher as well as the owner of Bene Mudra Wellness living in LA. Guiding others on a spiritual path is my life’s mission and I have dedicated myself to this cause. From a very early age, I had felt this calling towards doing spiritual work. I honored my soul’s calling and listened to the inner guidance. Understanding the laws of the universe was something that had come to me very intuitively. Some phenomenal supernatural experiences opened my perception towards the existence of life beyond the three-dimensional reality.

My 5-year-old self had known that one day it was all going to make sense and it did. While working on the east coast for 3 years, I gave life to my current business. Later, I moved to LA. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, I had developed the entrepreneurial mindset at a young age. Like many entrepreneurs, I started small. Back in the day I started seeing clients and provided them with healing and intuitive guidance. Slowly my apartment (where I was running my small business) turned into a full-blown wellness center. My visions started turning into reality. I immersed myself completely into spiritual work for my clients, which was why I was able to grow successfully. I collaborated with local yoga teachers and healers and extended my services to training sessions, mini-retreats, classes.

The success of our business led us to renovate our New York apartment. We converted it into a dedicated workshop space. Thanks to my partner who supported me in this creative and spiritual endeavor. We named it Esoteria. This whole experience was life-changing for us and gave us the strength to upgrade our services often, as people from different walks of life joined us at Esoteria. I have also remained the wellness director of a yoga and wellness center and have worked as the coordinator of wellness for Elizabeth Arden.

We got to know that you are working on your first book. Could you tell our readers about the theme of the book and your writing process?

It is in my trajectory to write a book, yes! I am in the process of ironing things out, finding my voice, and letting a story unfold. I know that I do not want to write another self-help book!! To be honest, to compile all my spiritual education and insights into a 200 page new age book as a self-proclaimed “Expert” in the field is the last thing I intend to do. It has been done over and over again. It is important for anyone heading down the path of awakening to find teachers they vibe with and read their works, yes, of course, I’m just not that. I want to create a story that encompasses a real spiritual message. I love sci-fi and fantasy fiction! I love to automatic write! I clear my mind using meditation and then just put pen to paper and allow the words to come from my inner truth and the divine. I am also working on my first album with my first single being a song I wrote called “American Warrior”, an anthem in overcoming adversary. The song is like a short story set to music. It is another way I express myself and share what I have come to realize.

We would love to know about the services you are currently offering to your clients. Would you like to share some of them with us?

To date, I have worked with more than a thousand clients in the US and internationally. I intend to modernize spirituality and wish to become a pioneer in making it mainstream. This is exactly what I believe my divine purpose is. Because of the pandemic, I shifted my services online and thus my all-inclusive modern spiritual wellness boutique platform came into existence. The platform serves those who intend to expand their consciousness. We offer B2B wellness programs, weekly classes, a few free workshops, individual wellness services to name a few. From past life sessions to psychic readings, healing workshops, meditation sessions, astrology, yoga, life coaching, and programs on a variety of spiritual concepts, we got them all covered.

We offer level 1-3 certification training for reiki. With my tribe, I am positive about taking spirituality to new heights, in a manner that remains accessible and easily understood by all. In our teachings, I love to incorporate ideas from our younger generation, as their take on the cosmos and the workings of the universe is equally valid as ours. To make our classes less pricey, I am offering a weekly podcast and on-demand classes which are free of cost. My podcast is available on all major streaming platforms. Listeners can search it by the name of The Bene Mudra Podcast. We are constantly expanding and growing content.

Please tell us about your light work. What modalities do you practice? What modalities do you wish to tap into, in the near future?

Light-work is a broad term. Anyone in any career can be a lightworker if they use light (good vibes, love, god, etc) as a means to uplift the world for the greater good of all things. Many start out by learning tangible modalities like reiki, life-coaching, or anything that promotes wellness in themselves and others. Nurses, firemen, doctors, social workers, actors, singers, writers, can be doing the work of light! My journey started early on. As a child, I knew I wished to heal and help the world in some way. Sometimes the pain within people would be overwhelming for me and I needed to change it! I studied reiki, spiritualism, honed my psychic abilities, traveled the world as a seeker. If you dedicate yourself to the light you must surrender to it and allow it to guide you to where you need to be. Now I am guided to provide a platform for other light-workers to thrive within. I am one man, but where there are many, there is godliness. I wish to shed my light on music and writing. Creating collectives and pushing spirituality to the limit. The “how” is not important, it is the “what” and the “feeling” it gives me that I hold on to. I am in a place of trusting the universe to assist me at all times to guide my work wherever it is most needed.
