Fashion Label MAUVAIS Sets Sights On £50M Turnover Target

Thriving men’s fashion label MAUVAIS has set its sights on a £50m turnover, a goal that is well within the brand’s grasp.

Founded by Jordan Jones in 2018, the company has experienced rapid growth in the past three years, despite considerable challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic. When the business got started, Jordan took charge of all areas of the company, processing orders in his parent’s house.

These early days included regular trips to the local Post Office, where Jordan would process orders himself and often cause lots of long queues. With perseverance and dedication to his work, Jordan could envisage a future when all this hard work would begin to pay off – and finally, those days are in sight.

Not long after starting MAUVAIS, the company had expanded enough to operate its own offices and warehouse, shipping orders around the globe to happy customers as far afield as the USA and Australia. This opened up new and exciting opportunities for Jordan’s company and also allowed him to start hiring a new team of staff to support the development of the business.

In 2021, MAUVAIS is set for £8m turnover – a significant leap from the last financial year which marks a 600% increase. This would be impressive at any time, but against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic, this success is even more striking. However, for MAUVAIS, rapid growth is in the DNA. The company grew from £550k to £1.5m from year one to year two, so MAUVAIS is no stranger to adapting and expanding to meet the needs of its customer base.

Instead of slowing the brand down, the pandemic presented an opportunity for further expansion, and MAUVAIS is now seeking to grow revenue to £15m during 2022, with a further target of £50m in the next five years.

MAUVAIS has seven full-time staff members, with plans for further hires in the months and years ahead. As the company grows, so will the opportunities to provide employment and expand the product range further.

Alongside all the other things which make MAUVAIS great, the ability to keep growing the brand – with almost limitless possibilities – is something Jordan and his team are excited about in the months and years ahead.

There are lots of new ideas and happenings in the pipeline, and despite the ambitiousness of the upcoming £50m targets, it is well within the grasp of MAUVAIS.

“I’m very proud of the brand and our fantastic team, who have helped us keep growing during a challenging time,” says Jordan. “With so many issues around the globe due to the pandemic, it’s testament to the strength of the MAUVAIS brand that we can carry on growing, and we are confident in reaching our planned £50m target.”
