Julian Newman and the Newman Family NOT “UNITED” on Family Vacation

Las Vegas, NV — Julian Newman, a prominent professional athlete, reality star, and influencer known for his role in the popular sports reality show “Hello Newmans,” is demanding accountability from United Airlines after experiencing a series of distressing events during a recent flight on July 13th, 2024.

Newman’s journey, originating from Las Vegas with a final destination of Fort Lauderdale and a layover in Denver, quickly turned chaotic when passengers were informed mid-flight that their plane would be rerouted to Colorado Springs. The abrupt change in plans left travelers bewildered, with no clear explanation provided by the airline’s crew. Despite assurances of refueling, passengers were kept onboard for an extended period, enduring four hours of uncertainty before being disembarked without further guidance.

An Unforgettable Journey and Experience

“After five hours of waiting without any meaningful updates, my companion and I decided to make our own way to Denver Airport via taxi, a journey that added an additional 2.5 hours to our ordeal,” Newman recounts. “Upon reaching Denver, the challenges only worsened as we faced a disorganized and frustrating experience with United Airlines’ customer service. Despite the urgency of our situation, we were met with indifference and a lack of assistance.”

The primary concern for Newman and his family was their scheduled Carnival cruise departing from Fort Lauderdale, a cornerstone of their annual family vacation plans. Despite their best efforts, United Airlines failed to provide suitable alternative travel arrangements, leaving them stranded at the airport overnight without access to necessary accommodations or even a basic food voucher.

“The financial impact of this ordeal has been significant, costing us upwards of $10,000 in non-refundable expenses related to the cruise alone,” Newman asserts. “Beyond the monetary losses, the emotional toll of missing out on cherished family time cannot be understated.”

In an effort to resolve the situation, Newman has pursued various channels of communication with United Airlines, including direct appeals to senior management. However, despite assurances and promises of follow-up, satisfactory compensation or resolution has yet to be provided.

Harnessing Social Media To Handle Issue

Expressing frustration over the handling of his complaint, Newman took to social media platforms such as Instagram (@jadennewman1 with 1.1 million followers, @juliannewman4 with 700k followers) and TikTok (jadennewmannn) to share his experience with their millions of followers, urging transparency and accountability from United Airlines. Newman highlighted the discomfort of being crammed into a full taxi van meant for 8 people but carrying 10 passengers for 2.5 hours, further exacerbating their ordeal.

“I am calling upon United Airlines to take immediate action to rectify this situation,” Newman states firmly. “We demand full reimbursement for all incurred expenses related to our disrupted travel plans, including flights, taxis, accommodations, and meals. Additionally, we seek compensation for the emotional distress and inconvenience caused by their negligence.”
