Laura K. Inamedinova – Inside The Mind Of A Marketing Genius

Laura K. Inamedinova - Inside The Mind Of A Marketing Genius

Meet Laura K. Inamedinova, founder of LKI Consulting, tech entrepreneur, speaker & investor. She has been named as one of The Top 10 Women In International Business by Silicon Valley Times of the year 2021 and her story has been featured on numerous global authority magazines. We reach out to Laura to understand the mindset of a marketing genius and get tips for our readers.

Laura shared her background with us and how she ended up choosing her field. “ Back in university, I was studying Physics, yet I wasn’t sure that I wanted to continue my career down the scientists’ road. Therefore, I did different internships in Cybersecurity, Finance, and Economics to explore and find what fits me. Those fields turned out to be not my interest area. I then got into marketing for Tech companies which helped me discover my interest in Tech further.

I started my career working in-house for one of the local startups in Lithuania, where I am originally from. I was sharing my journey on social media – the successes and lessons learned.

On the side, I started to write for a Nordic media outlet “Arctic startup”, and later I got noticed by Forbes to cover what’s happening in the Baltic ecosystem. This was definitely a boost for my personal brand and soon, I started to receive inquiries from my network to share my advice on how to get noticed by Tier 1 media”.

Investing in good marketing is one of the best ways to ensure a business’s long-term success. There are few people who understand what the business is about and how to approach the customers. Numerous agencies just replicate the same method of advertisement to different brands which result in more expenses and less return on the investment.

Having a distinct vision for your brand and business is also a must. It is easy to get lost in the process and lose the essence of your business if you don’t have a clear picture of what your brand should be.Laura K. Inamedinova

Laura mentioned, “Building a strong team is important for your business, especially in an industry like marketing where how you present yourself to the client is extra crucial ”. Consistently deliver the client more than what they ask for or expect. Going the extra mile for each task you complete is essential to impress your clients. The more success you help to achieve, the bigger transformation will be on your business.

At the end of our conversation, we asked Laura if she could share some advice about becoming an entrepreneur with our audience. She pointed out three main aspects.

First of all, it is essential to know that it will not be an easy ride. Prepare yourself for many ups, downs, and lots of rejections.

Don’t be afraid to go out there, share your ideas with the world, and never underestimate the power of networking. And, don’t forget to learn as much as you can through books and online sources on business and entrepreneurship.

Additionally, planning is essential to every business’s success. Write out your strengths and weaknesses, what will you provide, and how it’s different from other companies in the industry. How will you stand out? More importantly, think of the worst-case scenarios. What if something happens to you and you can’t work that day? What if your clients don’t pay you? Thinking through all these scenarios will make you prepared for any disaster that might happen in the future.
