Women Who Disrupt
Luxury Wedding Planner Sonia From Chic Events Takes On The World

People love to celebrate life. Birthdays, holidays, promotions, and even small successes, bring people together and create deep connections that many will treasure for a long time. This is why many people pay attention to the details so that they can hold the ideal event that the attendees can enjoy.
Knowing how important attention to detail is, Sonia Gangar, the owner and creative director of Chic Events by Sonia, uses her extensive background in fashion, event production, and marketing to create unique designs and planning memorable experiences for their clientsʼ lives.
“We don’t want to make a sale, we want to make a connection. At Chic Events we believe in attention to detail; from the way a beautiful menu card is placed on a table setting to selecting the right vendors that fit your style and personalities. We bring your dreams to life, tailored to reflect your own personal style,” Sonia said.

A Woman Of Culture
Sonia is the kind of woman who balances elegance with ease, who looks put together and yet never over-styled. She has an affinity for fashion and all things luxurious.
Her career as an events planner has always been a passion of hers. She loved planning events and loved everything to do with weddings. Sonia was always in awe when she attended weddings as a little girl and young adult. She then channeled this passion into something lucrative and helpful to others.
“It started as a passion part-time project then grew to what it is today, as we do approximately 50-70 weddings a year! My family is very business-minded so I grew up with that mentality, and when I want something I go for it,” Sonia said.
Sonia added that her father inspired her to reach the level of success that she now has.
“He came to the country with nothing and really worked hard his whole life and achieved his goals. Even today, he is so hungry and expanding his businesses — I definitely get my hustle from him!” she said.
