Matthew Sierawski Reveals What It Takes to Grow an E-commerce Empire.

Matthew Sierawski owns Legend Marketing, which is a Facebook advertising agency that solely works with online e-commerce brands. He has worked with some incredible brands and influencers over the past 4 years since starting his agency. Matthew states, “We take pride in being an ethical marketing firm and we only dedicate our time to those we can truly help. We aren’t in the business of marketing, but in the business of generating revenue for our clients.” In this read you will learn what it truly takes to grow your brand with Facebook Ads.
Starting a new Facebook Ad account with a new brand is probably the hardest thing an entrepreneur can do. If you’re bootstrapping it’s going to be 100 times harder. So with that being said, what is the best way to get started on Facebook with a lower ad budget and zero data?
1. Lead Generation.
Instead of jumping the gun right away on Direct Response campaigns Matthew highly recommends business owners to take a different approach. If you have your core email marketing and SMS flows in place you will have a higher probability of getting sales. These will get your ideal customers to opt-in to either a lead magnet, a free plus shipping offer with a subscription model attached, or a giveaway. This is the cheapest method to get new customers into your ecosystem. You’re way better off focusing your efforts on getting as many ideal customers into your ecosystem as you can. It’s a long term play, but the value in owning your own lists are priceless. This method is also a great way to start collecting data for your own brand.
2. Content Creation.
Content creation for Facebook Ads is something people tend to forget about at times. “We see a lot of brands who want to pour thousands in ads right away with almost zero creative assets, which is a costly mistake.” Matthew states. If you only have a $10k budget for Facebook and you want to make the absolute most out of it you need to consider spending almost half of that on getting as many creatives as you possibly can. You need to consider hiring a creative agency or freelancer to get this done. One of the biggest factors of becoming successful on Facebook is having ad creative that stops the scroll and drives click to the site. Poor quality content that is not created for that sole purpose is NOT going to do the trick.
3. Going All In.
When starting out on Facebook you have to commit and decide to go all in. Many think and assume if they have a $10k ad budget they will be spending around $333 bucks a day. Which isn’t always the course of action. Your goal when running new ads for a new account should be to get as many learnings as possible as fast you can to get out of the learning limited phase. With a new ad account there is no “one size fits all strategy.” You have to see what’s going to work for your brand and your offer and scale accordingly.
