Meet Anish Parmar – The Teenage Entrepreneur Disrupting The Social Media Marketing Industry

Growing up in Birmingham, United Kingdom, Anish Parmar never felt like the traditional educational system was for him. While many of his friends were heading off to University to study for a degree to work a corporate job, Anish stayed in his hometown and decided to focus on his personal development and digital marketing skills. This led him to build his own full-service agency Distriibute PR and educational platform AnstaSocial in June 2020, and he hasn’t looked back since.
What exactly do you do?
“Viral marketing, press releases, and graphic design via my full-service agency Distriibute Public Relations. However, I also run my own educational platform AnstaSocial alongside my agency, which is geared to launch very soon. It was created solely to help the younger generation of aspiring digital marketers and entrepreneurs.”
How did you get involved with Digital Marketing?
“I first got involved with digital marketing at the tender age of 16. This was when I was scaling my own personal Instagram account to over 17,000 followers. I was pretty much building my own personal brand from scratch, all while closing brand deals and still studying for my GCSE examinations at school. It’s pretty crazy going back and thinking about it, but that’s how I first got involved with digital marketing.”
What is your definition of a successful entrepreneur?
“My definition of a successful entrepreneur is different compared to most entrepreneurs. I truly think that the definition of a successful entrepreneur is someone who puts people over profit, and bases themselves around the value that they can give to people, compared to how much money they make.”
What is the most rewarding part when running a full-service agency?
“The most rewarding part for me when running my agency is getting my clients the results they deserve. I always aim to over-deliver and I love it when my clients come back to tell me they’re satisfied with the results that I’ve produced for them and that they want to work with me again.”
What is your greatest success story so far for your business?
“One of the greatest success stories in my business is scaling a client’s Instagram from 9,000 followers to over 20,000 followers with the use of Influencer Loop giveaways in under one week. I’ve also helped various entrepreneurs and creatives get featured in prestigious publications online, so that also has to be one of my greatest success stories for all of my clients who have invested in my press release services. However, apart from all the vanity metrics, I feel that it’s always amazing to help people in need and that’s the greatest feeling of success that can never be replaced by money in my eyes.”
Who is your biggest inspiration?
“My parents. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. They shaped me into the person that I am now and I’m forever grateful for everything that they’ve done for me.
