Meet Dawn McKenna Who Is Among The Women Disrupting In The Real Estate Industry.

When thinking of real estate agents in America, Dawn Mckenna should be within your radar. She is among the most creative and envied real estate agents. She has won iconic awards, and from the look of things, she has a long way to go in the industry. 

 

Having stayed in real estate for more than 15 years, Dawn may be described as a genius of real estate. She survived and pushed forward even during the 2008 recession, which was leaving many agencies down. 

 

McKenna was awarded as the top Coldwell Banker Realty agent in the Midwest. That award was the head start and door for many other awards that followed simultaneously. Among them was Top Real Estate Broker in Hinsdale, Top Real Estate Broker in Western Springs, among many other awards. 

 

McKenna has been responsible for over $2 billion in real estate sales since she began her career. To continue serving people well, McKenna formed the Dawn McKenna group with 19 agents. They have their offices in Chicago Gold Coast, Chicago suburbs of Hinsdale, Winnetka, Lake Forest, and 5th Avenue Naples, Fl. 

 

Forming the group made Dawn expand her territories. The group has listed more than 250 homes, assisted over 150 buyers, found apartments for more than 600 renters, and concluded more than $600 million in total transactions.

 

Creating a Footprint in the Real Estate Industry

 

“The one who said that knowledge is power was right,” Dawn says. “I made my name by being the most knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and energetic agent in town.” The clients she was serving were delighted because they could hardly find another agent with Dawn’s qualities. 

 

She knew so much about the market, had an infectious enthusiasm for homes, design, style, fashion, and community. All clients that she met remained her customers. “I ensured that I serve them right and meet the promises I was making.” She says. 

 

Challenges Faced 

 

Dawn says that the biggest obstacle that she faced as she was starting her career was time management. She always wanted to know her clients better, know their families, and precisely know what they wanted so that she could understand them well. 

 

She would talk to the clients, and often it could result in long conversations – she still does that to date. This took much time, but she acknowledges that it helped. With those details, she would match the client with the best homes that suit them. 

 

Overcoming the Challenges

 

Dawn surrounded herself with the best team in real estate. She also continues to learn from them and other sources. This helped her to delegate duties to the people who handle them best. This helps her to continue doing what she does best – giving her clients enough time to express themselves. 

She has made so many work relationships through that, and she knows that they are the source of her success. She now has over 125 active listings in five towns in two states. The 19 agents do the work in the five offices.

 

My Team is The Best

 

“I truly believe I have the best team in the industry,” she says as she adds, “they are not only the best representation of Dawn McKenna Group, they are great people.” She says that she cannot dare to trade her team with anything.
