Model-Turned-Lawyer Jennifer A. Mancuso Continues to Break the Proverbial “Glass Ceiling”

Jennifer A. Mancuso

Internationally, one in every three businesses is owned by women; that’s according to the World Bank. As ambitious and determined women entrepreneurs continue to climb the ladder in every industry, women entrepreneurs such as Jennifer A. Mancuso continue to shatter the stereotype of what it means to be a woman in a man’s world.

Jennifer A. Mancuso’s journey started like any other self-made woman. Hailing from a traditional and entrepreneurial family, Jennifer got a taste of what it was like to own a business at an early age when she would spend time helping at her parents’ boutique jewelry shop.

She excelled academically and earned a spot at York University, where she got her Honors Bachelor of Arts degree. Later on, Jennifer would go on to earn her Bachelor of Law degree from the University of New Brunswick. And all while, she was juggling a successful career as a model.

After making a mark in the beauty industry, where she has over a decade’s experience, Jennifer began to look at other avenues where her brand of dedication and panache could shine; law was the obvious choice since Jennifer has always been a firm advocate for women’s rights and gender equality.

Jennifer then went on to lay the foundation of the J.A.M. Law Professional Corporation after working for insurance companies as a defense attorney focusing on motor vehicle accidents and personal injury claims.

Having worked for both the plaintiff and defense sides, she has become a champion for plaintiffs. She continues to win praises for her well-rounded perspective and her unique dual insight. She has helped countless people win their personal injury claims.

After a long and glamorous career as a professional model, Jennifer continued to break the glass ceiling by establishing not one, but two highly successful ventures – the J.A.M. Law Professional Corporation, which quintupled its earnings within its first year, and J.A.M. Beauty Inc., her own luxury cosmetics line for beauty queens.

The J.A.M. Beauty Inc. is yet another example of how Jennifer has been successful repeatedly at breaking that proverbial “glass ceiling.” Along with being a champion for women’s and minority rights (two things that she holds close to her heart), Jennifer has now become a household name in the beauty and skincare industry.

Jennifer remains a style icon, mentor, serial entrepreneur, and all-around trailblazer, and she’s not done – by a long shot. Despite her hectic schedule, Jennifer has recently completed a book with none other than Oprah Winfrey, Deepak Chopra, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Ginny Rometty, and Mary Barra, just to name a few. In the book, Jennifer A. Mancuso, along with 50 other movers and shakers of the business and entertainment world, speak about their incredible journeys and the inspirational life lessons they have learned along the way.

With a massively successful law firm and an ever-growing beauty brand, it is without a doubt that Jennifer A. Mancuso is on her way towards becoming “The woman that built an empire.”
