Monty Lopez: Father of TikTok Star Addison Rae Shares How He Balances Family With Fame

Louisiana native Monty Lopez, is the father of 19-year-old TikTok superstar Addison Rae. With her rising fame, he decided to create a TikTok account as well and has thus far accumulated over 2.5 million fans.

Alongside wife, Sheri, and sons, Enzo and Lucas Monty, he and his family have caught much of the spotlight from the super-viral platform, and been endorsed by notable entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk.

But unlike some parents who shy away from the limelight, Monty is leading the family in the best way he knows how: by sharing fun and entertaining content with his multitude of super fans.

Monty leads by example and recently shared with me that he’s not doing it just for himself, he takes his role as a father very seriously saying:

“I aspire to be a good father and a good husband. If I achieve that, I am confident that everything else will fall into place.”

When asked what his passion is, he says “my passion is enjoying my life with my family. I love to get up early and start with coffee and exercise then whatever the boss (wife) says I need to do.”

Monty and his family recently signed with leading talent agency WME which only shows that there is more exposure on the way and a lot of new things he will have to help the family navigate. Raising kids who are so visible on social media can be difficult but Monty says he his  “keeping a close eye” on his kids as he helps guide them in pursuing their passions.

With so much limelight on the group, he believes that letting his kids have fun while keeping them grounded is the best way to proceed. With the inevitability of bullying and social media negativity, Monty says he deals with it by doing his best. His advice is “do not to let all the negativity get to you and try to always be positive.”

Monty isn’t just a social media star, he’s also an entrepreneur. Between doing the latest Tik Tok dance moves he also runs a real estate investment company named ML Sales. He is a man who is clearly on a mission not just to build wealth through media, but other means as well.

In terms of a business strategy for the family, Monty says that he likes to keep an open mind and pursue different opportunities that are presented to him and the family. It’s clear opportunities are numerous so he’s just doing his best to chose what will help the family move forward.

When I asked Monty what other notable people he would love to collaborate with, he mentions the likes of his favorite entertainers like The Rock, Kevin Hart, and the team at Impractical Jokers.

I asked Monty about the challenges and tough sides of social media as well. He expressed from a recent negative experience he still maintained a positive attitude saying “recently our accounts were hacked! It was scary and frustrating. I generally have a positive attitude, so negativity is easy to deal with. You just keep moving forward.”

Towards the end, I wanted to ask Monty’s final advice. What he said is something we can all apply to ourselves.

If you have a passion for social media, keep putting out content, stay motivated, and have fun!!!!
