Muhammad Aqib – A Guide to How to Be a Better Digital Marketer

The world of digital marketing is full of endless possibilities. A digital marketer is a person that bridges the gap between the real world, and the digital. With so many businesses residing on the World Wide Web, the need for personnel who knows how to bring products to people digitally is increasing. 

To help you become a better digital marketer we’ve sat with Muhammad Aqib, a young and successful entrepreneur that managed to make a name for himself at the age of 19.

Muhammad is the founder of Ahead Host, a web hosting company, as well as a few other businesses such as Ahead Link Building, Techno Summit, and Unknown Entertainment House.

Below, there are a few tips on how to become a better digital marketer.

1. Networking Events

The first thing that you should do, if you want to be a successful marketer, is to always grow your network and stay connected to like-minded people in your industry, says Muhammad. Attending a networking event is an excellent investment. These events are designed to help you listen to industry experts on topics that directly relate to you. These events mostly have workshops, lessons, and are full of interesting people that can help you get to where you want to be.

2. Learn From Experts

Similar to networking events, the best way to understand your profession is by listening to what industry experts say. If attending a networking event sounds too expensive for you, then you got plenty of other options in the form of online courses. Online courses are designed to drive you towards making a career in your respective field; digital marketing in our case. Muhammad says that there is plenty of online content from experts that can help you get started in no time.

3. Get an Internship Position

The best way to learn your trade is to get an internship position, says Muhammad. Similarly to working, an internship exposes you to a professional environment that gives you first-hand experience and pushes your capabilities to the maximum. Getting an internship is an excellent way or expanding your portfolio, and the best way to learn a thing or two about digital marketing. Furthermore, many companies need interns, so you’ll have no problem finding one.

4. Read on Current Industry Dealings, and Stay up to Date

Mohammad says that a professional digital marketer always keeps up to date with current industry issues. As a digital marketer, your job would be to promote content through various platforms. But it’s also your job to know the ins and outs of SEO. As SEO is something that changes every year, staying up to date with SEO trends can be the difference-maker between success and failure. Mohammad says that the best way to stay informed is to listen to informative podcasts, read articles, talk to people in the industry, etc. With so much free content out there, it remains impossible for you to not be at the very edge of what is going on. All it takes is a bit of determination and curiosity.
