New Platform Called Pay My Price Connects Price-Conscious Consumers with Local Contractors

The website PayMyPrice is a brand new platform that launches in Chicago next month, August 2020. It is a free tool that allows you to enter the price you want to pay, for the service you are looking for, and matches you with contractors locally who can fulfill that service at the desired price.

So if you are looking for a roofing contractor to replace your roof, you enter “roof replacement”, then enter the price you want to pay, then you are instantly able to view all the contractors in your area that meet that budget price you selected.

There is a review system baked into the platform that will ask customers for a review right after the job is deemed complete, and payment is processed through the system.

It is free to join for both customers and contractors. Contractors go through an approval process to verify proper licenses and appropriate accreditation in their respective fields.

What is the most important value for a customer on this platform?

Till now, whenever we hire contractors, we are always unsure about how much it will cost prior to getting quotes. We are often worried about budget overruns or being overcharged by the contractor. So we usually settle on contractors that are closest to our budget, instead of continuing the exhaustive search for a lower-cost option. Pay My Price helps people solve this problem by allowing the customer to choose contractors that fit the price that they want to pay.

How is this platform better than HomeAdvisor, Thumbtack, and these other platforms?

Pay My Price gives consumers the upper hand to avoid all the hassle and haggle associated with finding local service providers. You, as the consumer, are in the driver’s seat. The platform also solves the annoyance of getting calls and emails from dozens of companies when you submit a request on these competitor websites.

Pricing is transparent and visible, so there will be no price gouging. Someone that wants to spend very little can find a contractor that needs the work and is willing to take less. It really connects price-conscious buyers with small business owners that need to make a living to provide for their families and their employees.

Is there any advantage for the contractor by being on this platform?

First off, there is no charge to join the platform or for the leads themselves. The value comes in for the contractors by providing a steady flow of inbound leads. Pay My Price doesn’t decide who gets those leads, the customers decide.

There will be a paid premium service available after launch that will allow verified contractors to view customer requests and contact them directly through our built-in messaging platform: no phone calls or annoying emails.

Is the platform limited to Chicago, or are there plans to expand?

Judging by the demand for a service like this, Pay My Price plans to expand into other major markets across the US in 2020 and beyond. Our marketing team will continuously bring more contractors onboard. As the network grows stronger, more users will use the platform due to its expansive selection of service providers.

We see a huge gap in the marketplace right now, with a strong demand for this type of service. It truly is a godsend for homeowners that are tight on funds, with the ability to pair them with contractors that are looking for growth in their business.

Pay My Price is currently accepting new contractors to the platform, but only a limited amount of spots are available per contractor category. Please visit the website and click “Join the Community” to be contacted once the platform launches.
