Not your Everyday Products but Beautiful Pieces of Art for People that Appreciate it: Vayreni Burns

Vayreni Burns is a company that uses 15,000 volts of electricity, to burn wood and artistically create cheese boards, serving platters, and now unique custom furniture pieces. The products are tastefully designed for people who see the beauty in art. The brand attracts clients of all kinds including everyday people, entertainers, aspiring & professional chefs, influencers, and many more.

The Onset

Ara Zada chef and coauthor of “The Lavash” cookbook showed interest in fractal burning which led Diana Kerian, his girlfriend, to buy him a transformer for Christmas. He built a fractal-burning machine and was quickly infatuated with using electricity to make art. They spent countless evenings decompressing in the garage where he would entertain her for hours. They started with burning skateboards to create specialty wall art.

Ara’s love for adrenaline kept him quite intrigued considering how deadly the process is. Being that he is a chef, his girlfriend encouraged him to make a charcuterie board which led to many more serving platters for a variety of meats such as tomahawks, whole fish, cured meats, you name it!    Around October of 2019, they made it official! They legitimized their business which was named Vayreni Burns and created their custom logo that looks like antlers, and burns and has 19 points on it to reflect the year they started their new venture. The word Vayreni means “wild” in Armenian, their ancestral language. As his first encounter blended culinary interests and love for woodworking, these art pieces turned out to be a functional hit!

The concept became even a greater appeal to consumers as they realized how the unveiling of the board appears as your guests eat from the charcuterie servings. Each piece of food removed, reveals the art of the Vayreni Board. In their more recent adventures, the making of cheese boards or serving boards has led them to furniture, coffee tables, and dining room tables.

The Process

It starts with selecting the perfect plank that will be transformed into a variety of Vayreni Boards. They like to use black walnut because it is strong, resilient wood.

The plank is cut down to the sizes needed, and then the Lichtenberg wood burning technique begins. once, burned, the carbon is scraped out and removed to prepare for the epoxy pour. several stages of sanding come next starting from 80 grit all the way up to 2000 grit of sanding. The final stage is when the beauty and life come back to this piece of wood transforming it into something beyond expectations. They finish it with natural waxes and oils that are found in living trees.

Not Your Everyday Products

Vayreni Burns recognizes the products are not like your everyday needs. They best serve somebody who appreciates a masterpiece and its craftsmanship.

Conclusion

Vayreni Burns is gaining a significant social media presence and is looking forward to growth in the upcoming years.  They enjoy the diversity of clients that find the product appealing such as wineries, party planners, realtors, home cooks, and professional chefs.dVayreni Burns is proud to present each unique board paired with your favorite wine and company creating a talking point for the evening.
