Pamper your Pet at NOLAs Finest Pet Care

Ask any pet parent, and they will tell you their fur child isn’t just an animal, it is part of the family. And, like any family member, don’t you want your pet to live a happy, healthy life? Twila McGee does. That is why McGee, CEO and founder of NOLAs Pet Care LLC, started her business that specializes in helping fur kids  live their best lives. Originating as an in-home pet walking/sitting service in 2013, McGee was inspired to expand her pet care career by launching Louisiana’s first bi black-owned pet care business after experiencing her own horrible experience with boarding her pet. With her background and love of animals, she knew she could offer a better solution. “Pets exhibit much less anxiety when they are in the comfort of their own homes in the event a parent is away,” says McGee, who describes herself as a pet expert, artist, and fur mom. “Stress and anxiety decrease a pet’s lifespan, and caring for them in their own home not only increases their lifespan but is also a crime deterrent.”

Since its inception, the vision behind NOLAs Finest Pet Care has grown beyond in-home pet walking/sitting. Although she continues to provide this service, McGee has expanded her menu. Clients can take advantage of one-on-one educational courses via Zoom with McGee herself. Recommended for new pet parents, the courses give them a chance to ask for advice on topics ranging from how to select their furry match to properly pet proofing their home and yard, and everything in between that will make the lives of both parents and fur children easier.

Another way McGee caters to pets is by creating and baking gourmet treats made from quality, organic ingredients that are intended to boost the health of the pet. These treats, which include gourmet cupcakes, cookies, and pupsicles, are made to order and are delivered via DoorDash so pets can enjoy them at home as a delicious, healthy treat.

McGee’s love of animals also carries over into her other passion as an artist. Her exclusively for pet lovers’ line offers a variety of products, including painted or etched stationery, accessories, clothing, and home decor. All of her items are available on NOLAs Finest Pet Care website and can be shipped anywhere in the U.S.

While NOLAs Finest Pet Care has received many accolades, including #18 on the list of Best Dog Sitters in America on the Happy Doggo website and Best in New Orleans according to Kev’s Best blog, McGee’s main goal is making sure all fur kids who come to her leave a little happier. “I feel that one of my life’s purposes is to help pets,” says McGee. “Ten years of professional pet care experience and a lifetime of being a fur mom has prepared me to become a pet expert!”
