The Journey of Becoming the CEO of Interconnect Data

Some people believe that to start a business, you need a big bank account for the initial investment. That isn’t always the case. Most entrepreneurs today start with small investments. A small amount of money is the starting point. They slowly work their way up from there and make fat stacks. The only thing you really need to call yourself an entrepreneur is a great idea and the right attitude to turn that idea into reality, much like Rany Fardinay. Rany Fardiany is a serial entrepreneur, FinTech expert, designer, business manager and a philanthropist. She is currently serving as the CEO of a top notch IT Company, Teknologi Cakra Internasional. She has years worth of experience as a Managing Director under her belt with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry. Exploring the Creative Side; Arthology.id

Besides being the co-founder of Interconnect Data, Rany also successfully co-founded Arthology.id which is also a prodigy of Teknologi Cakra Internasional and works under its umbrella. However, it solely serves the purpose of providing its clients with design solutions. In short, it works on the creative side of the spectrum. They create designs specializing in communication strategy, fine arts, and sophisticated technology. Working there, Rany has helped brands create an identity of who they are. She helps bring together different elements and shape the world’s perception about your company.

A Being a Member of ISACA

Rany is a professional with multiple talents, and as such she strongly believes in giving back to society. She is a member of the ISACA Indonesia Chapter, where she helps SMEs and startups navigate Industry 4.0. ISACA offers an opportunity to develop your skills and get acquainted with technology governance. Being a member of ISACA, you can access all their online resources, free educational events, and professional certifications in IT governance. Plus, it allows you to stay connected with millions of other ISACA members all across the globe.

Solving a Problem

Rany believes that as an entrepreneur, you have to decide what problem you want to solve? Focus on your business. Finding a viable business idea does not require extensive research. Walk around the house or the office and look for ideas. Could you provide a practical answer to something that bothers you almost every day? People like Rany take calculated risks. If you don’t try, you won’t know. Regardless of how simple or crazy your idea is, if you believe there are people out there who will like it, then you should try it out.

Being Your Own Boss

Being an entrepreneur will give you the freedom to do things your way if you’re always looking for that. Make and break your own rules; manage your own schedule; you’re your own boss. Rany said that being an entrepreneur is about taking control of my own life rather than letting my life be controlled by someone else.

Being Human

No entrepreneur is a superhero. Many hard days are going to come. There’s no limit to how strong you can be if you never want a break. Don’t feel bad about taking a vacation when you really need one because after all the hustle you’ll be doing, it’ll be a much-deserved break, said Rany.

Having a Purpose

Entrepreneurs are very concerned about others. Don’t forget to think of your families, friends, and even the community when you hustle. Do everything with a sense of purpose, Rany continued. Being an entrepreneur is more than just selling things. It’s not just about earning money. Entrepreneurship is about becoming a productive member of society who doesn’t see life as a money-focused endeavor.

Rany on Running Multiple Businesses

Entrepreneurs often rely on others for expertise. Despite the fact that you will do most of the work, there are some things that an expert will be able to do better, says Rany. Show your appreciation to those who will assist you. Nurture every connection you make along the way. Entrepreneurship is hard, exciting, and rewarding, all at once. Running a business is like raising a child, so it takes serious commitment. Make sure you put everything into it. See it grow when you invest your passion, time, and hard work into it. An entrepreneur is someone who has the courage to act on their crazy ambitions. An entrepreneur is someone who has the courage to act on their ambitions, explained Rany.

Life as an Entrepreneur

According to Rany, as a business owner, you may think a lot about whether your experiences are normal on the business landscape. You might ask yourself: “Do other entrepreneurs go through the same ups and downs as me?” The advantage of being an entrepreneur is that you are in control of your own destiny. Nevertheless, it is also true that very few people experience highs and lows like business owners do. Life as an entrepreneur is unpredictable.

Rany’s Stance on Entrepreneurship

Rany believes that, for some people, the idea of failing to achieve something hundreds or thousands of times can be incredibly discouraging. But as an entrepreneur, the truth is that your life will probably feel eerily similar to this on a daily basis. Even if you don’t feel this way all the time, chances are that you will still feel it at least occasionally. At one moment, you may be celebrating the launch of a new, successful product. The next minute, you are tasked with putting out five fires all at once – a burden that may sink your business if not managed properly. Entrepreneurs live a roller coaster ride of ups and downs every day. However, this is to be expected. In the earliest years of your business, you shouldn’t expect anything different.

Take-Home Thoughts

Entrepreneurship comes with both inspiring and challenging times, even if your business is successful. It will take a lot of challenges, obstacles, and hurdles for you to reach your goals as a business owner and entrepreneur. But here’s where it gets tricky: Even if you’re wildly successful in your business, it doesn’t always mean you’ll feel like you’re soaring high. There will still be more ground to cover!
