Realtor Ana Caballero Shares Why Northern Monterey County Is the Perfect Place To Live

Ana Caballero

Realtor Ana Caballero is an esteemed Real Estate Professional that serves Northern Monterey County. She and her husband, Erik Caballero, founded Rooted Real Estate, which is a brokerage run by a team of Real Estate Professionals who utilize the latest technology to create a stress-free experience for her clients.

Ana said, “We founded Rooted Real Estate because we believe everyone deserves to have a home and plant their roots. We all need a place to call our own and express ourselves without being limited by landlords or restrictions.”

The couple has four children.  “Our oldest graduated University of California, Santa Cruz, and will be attending Law School next year. Our youngest is six years old, and even though we have a handful at home, our children drive us to do our best for other families. We love helping families fulfill their dream of homeownership and helping sellers realize their greatest gain when it comes time to sell their homes.

We have two Goldendoodles, and we have some farm animals.  We love living in Prunedale and enjoy the privacy and tranquility of living out in the country.  I’m constantly learning and am part of some elite coaching programs in the real estate and digital marketing space.  My mission is to provide the highest level of service and results for my clients, whether they are looking to sell or buy.”

She mainly serves the Nothern Monterey County areas, including Prunedale, Salinas, Royal Oaks, Aromas. According to her, these areas are considered more rural so that people will find more horse properties and homes with land. There has been a recent shift of people leaving more populated cities in the bay area and purchasing properties in these more rural areas where they can work from home and enjoy having more room to raise their families or even some farm animals. The proximity of these locations to the beaches, wharves, and other attractions makes it an ideal place to live as well.

Ana usually works with first-time home buyers and sellers. She said, “I’m a certified Probate and Trust specialist, so I help out a lot of sellers that have inherited properties. I also work with a lot of sellers moving out of state or sellers looking to purchase another property. Also, I help sellers buy and sell at the same time without having to be in-between places.”

When asked about how is the Real Estate market performing right now, she replied, “They should look to acquire my expertise, especially if they are looking to sell. Inventory is still low, so sellers have a great advantage in getting the most for their property in this current market.

While for buyers, interest rates are still low, making their mortgage payments more affordable and very close to what they are currently paying in rent. I work with lenders that offer no money down programs so I can help buyers that qualify purchase a home with little to no money out of their pocket.”

Ana gave out some pieces of advice to future homebuyers; here’s what she said, “The areas I service are the more affordable areas in the bay area. You get a lot more value for your money – most homes have bigger back yards or a couple of acres with space for all your animals, toys, or a pool. And the best part is you will only be minutes away from the beaches and other great tourist attractions like the Monterey or Santa Cruz Wharf’s, Cannery Row, Carmel, etc.”
