Shamus Goss is a breathing example of an entrepreneur who started from the bottom, but he still beat the odds through determination and hard work. He had to overcome his fair share of challenges, but through perseverance, he knew anything is possible.

Apart from helping the homeless, he is teaching young entrepreneurs the ways to achieve their goals.

In our series featuring successful and disruptive companies, we managed to interview Shamus Goss. Meeting him was thrilling, especially due to his broad experience and desire to make the world a better place by helping and mentoring others. 

Here is our interview with him. 

What’s your daily routine for success?

I try to wake up early. I try to get up around 5:00am – 6:00 am. The first thing I do is get on my knees and pray to give thanks for another day that I have woken up; then I take the first hour to read the bible. I do my affirmations and look at my vision board to get my day started.

What excites you the most about your business right now?

Real estate and Social Media Marketing

Real estate is booming right now. There are lots of homeowners that need solutions in services that we provide. It’s a great time to be in the industry.

Social Media is now the biggest platform that a business or brand should be on understanding that everything has changed to online and mobile, and this is the future.

How did you make a name for yourself in your industry? 

I started networking with a lot of industry leaders. I also started going to a lot of events. I got my first few projects going and made sure that I had a huge presence on social media and documented the process, and that is how I got known.

What obstacles did you face to get to where you are now? 

Some of the obstacles that I faced were more so personal. I had to invest in my education and change my mindset, getting the right people around me. I had to make a lot of self- improvement.

How did you overcome these obstacles? 

I started to read lots of books and study some successful people and started within. I try to read a book a week to see things from a different perspective.

What makes you different within your industry? 

My company, Magneto Home Solutions, provides different solutions that most companies don’t provide. We stay ahead of the game with technology, and we watch the market to know when any changes are coming. We also are big on social media and making sure that we stay in everybody’s face.

What recent new technology excites you?

I’m a systems person, so In real estate, we use different CRM’s, automation, and social media platforms. It’s mostly the systems, not a specific technology. I’m a KPI guy, so I see everything in numbers.

Advice to upcoming entrepreneurs

Focus on new ways to make money, delay gratification, and understand that it’s all about Entrepreneur Mobility. I want to show them that you can make money from anywhere in the world. All you need is an internet service, a laptop or a phone. My goal is to generate the next generation of entrepreneurs that are tired of the systems that are in place right now that is not working. I also want to do my part in making the world a better place.
