The humble beginnings of a multinational entrepreneur

The start of any journey in life takes a single step, yet it’s one of the hardest.

In many cases, most might give up, but as Pedro Williams reminds us through his remarkable journey, you won’t know the outcome unless you take the risk.

Fostering Pedro’s outlook, other entrepreneurs will agree that challenges don’t need to stop you from progressing. With determination and innovation at the fore, you can find a solution and reach even your wildest dreams.

A Brazilian expat who’s found immense success on the shores of Australia, Pedro is the founder and CEO of one of the country’s most premium luxury automotive groups, Halo Motors

Halo hosts seven businesses under its umbrella. Among them, two of Australia’s most innovative multi-brand luxury vehicle dealerships led by 25 skilled employees offering an experience which is synonymous with the brands it carries – without the hefty price tag.

From Bentley to McLaren, Ferrari, Rolls Royce and Lamborghini, Halo Motors offers realistic access to an impressive catalogue of prestige vehicles while setting new benchmarks for professionalism in a traditionally outdated automotive industry.

It is with a contemporary commercial model and nimble approach to business that Halo Motors is able to turn over more than 1,000 luxury cars per year worth over $10 million AUD.

Arriving in Australia at only 18 years old with $1,000 to his name, Pedro has undoubtedly built all of this from almost nothing.

With an ambitious drive to prevent the depletion of his savings, Pedro began his professional journey in developmental roles for one of the world’s most reputable five-star hotels.

With an innate ability to understand the intricacies of the society around him, Pedro prioritised his education of English which improved his employability and enabled the progression of his business skills and leadership profile.

Then, landing a management role with world-renowned French luxury hotel chain, Sofitel, Pedro embarked on formally training employees and developing hotel operations on a global scale.

It is with this insight that Pedro realised his entrepreneurial capacity, so he began saving every dollar to start his own venture of buying and selling preowned European cars.

And Pedro’s passion for European cars is entrenched.

What started as a youthful goal to own a BMW has since developed into a multimillion-dollar business which enables him to commute daily between his businesses in machines worth $500,000 or more.

From detailing to photography, advertising, sales management, customer service and more, as a young man Pedro knew that he had to put in the extra time to be able to realise his dreams.

Today, Pedro’s business is thriving.

An entrepreneurial prodigy, Pedro shows that it’s possible to succeed even when facing adversity.

His key advice to others is to believe in your ideas and take risks.

“Risks can change you,” Pedro said.

“Risks will make you braver, stronger and more confident, and unless you take a chance on that dream, you’ll never know what’s on the other side.”

Pedro is an advocate for developing an owner’s culture which cultivates a growth mindset and enables big dreams.

What started as a thirst for a challenge led to adversity, and after finding stability, Pedro envisioned more.

Six years later, Halo Motors is one of Australia’s leading luxury automotive dealerships spearheading the new-age commercial viability of the nation’s car industry.
