The Power of Networking with Dr. Harry J. Malinski

As many entrepreneurs will tell you, showing up is half the battle. In a post-covid environment with borders opening up and events becoming mainstream again, the ability to meet people organically and grow your network with like-minded professionals has returned to the forefront.

Hailing from the Philippines, we sat down with Dr. Harry J. Malinski of PennyFly Entertainment who finds much of his success simply through the prioritization of meeting new people. He is also sought out to share his knowledge on technology & entertainment panels as well as hosting NFT exhibitions around the world. A retired Veterinarian, Harry enjoys the hustle of web3 communities in addition to leading A&R and management initiatives for a variety of PennyFly’s talent roster. Malinski’s current focus is to network with both AI-driven professionals as well as venture capitalists and fundraisers.

“I continue to be fascinated with the rapid evolution of AI and how it will continue to affect our day-to-day lives in terms of business applications and productivity. I’m beyond excited to finally be attending these events again, meeting new people and immersing myself in different cultures.”

Harry gave us an overview of his recent travels, beginning with an appearance at the Bermuda Tech Summit. His presentation on SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals as defined by the United Nations) accomplished through vertical farming was well received while simultaneously highlighting the role of entertainment and influencers in educating the public on these initiatives.

“It was a pleasure to consult on blockchain uses for food safety and supply chain benefits, which I happen to have an unusually unique understanding of considering my time working with the USDA. Bermuda has truly been one of my favorite places to visit. I was given an extremely warm welcome by multiple members of the Bermudan government, with deputy premier Walter Roban inviting me back to assist them on the implementation of several blockchain related solutions.”

Next up was Miami – from the four-day Villa Casablanca with SwagBoyQ to the Royal Princess Yacht Fashion Show with Kirsten Collins, there was an exciting variety of attendees and entertainment. Harry also attended Art Basel in conjunction with one of PennyFly’s partners Drew Wolfer, the founder of PreSend.io, an innovative utility that protects user funds from being sent to the wrong addresses on the blockchain.

Harry and his wife Melody in Davos, Switzerland

Bringing a close to the East Coast, Dr. Malinski continued networking and speaking around New York in preparation for his final destination – the wildly controversial World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

“Everyone I work with is well aware of the WEF, but almost nobody I know has actually gone there to experience it in person. One of our affiliated artists via our partners at Let’s Disrupt Digital, AY Young, was attending to make an announcement so I was excited to introduce him and support his upcoming initiatives. It was an honor to have a hand in kicking off the Hedera Hashgraph “Arabian Nights” event at the Hotel Schatzalp.”

At the Davos blockchain hub, Harry spoke on related innovations through the use of community core influence – in other words, it’s great to have accountability via the blockchain, but without a strong community actually utilizing it, the value is severely diminished. Given his eclectic background as both a veterinary surgeon and a cyber enthusiast, Malinski also spoke on the progress being made in the realms of veterinary nanotech consulting.

“One of my favorite connections to come from these travels was getting the opportunity to sit down with Donn Healy, the CEO of Havona. They’ve been driving change through ethical and sustainable practices in production and supply chains – we’ve continued our discussions and have linked up in other cities since our first meeting in Bermuda. We are now exploring potential synergy between PennyFly and Havona in regards to the development of AI marketing solutions for the entertainment industry.”

When asked if he had any advice for our readers, Dr. Malinski kept it simple. “Show up and be sociable. The vast majority of people attending these events are also there to network and meet new people, so don’t be afraid to introduce yourself. You just might be talking to a new close friend or a life-changing business partner.”
