The Real Reason Behind Jared Maples Empire

Often times people with money are classified as “greedy,” “selfish,” and “self-absorbed.” This isn’t the case of Jared Maples, serial entrepreneur and avid philanthropist.
Jared grew up in a middle-class family. His dad was a pastor and his mom was in sales. Jared’s parents instilled in him at a young age that the sweetest moments of life are when you are helping and serving others. They always modeled what it looked like to give back even when they didn’t much to give.

“I don’t know who needs to hear this but it’s time to wake up and realize you get one shot at life.” – Jared Maples

As he built his businesses, one thing always maintained the same. His heart for people. Over the years Jared has been all over the world giving back and helping the poverty-stricken communities in underdeveloped countries.
One of his annual trips is to Mexico where he and his dad take 15-20 guys from their team to build a house for a family that has never owned a home before. In just three days, they build a home from dirt to a finished project.
Jared shares. “This trip is so special to me. The look in the families eyes when we hand them the keys to their new home is one of those feelings you just hold onto forever.” He also shared “Its incredible to see how happy the people are with relatively nothing in comparison to what we take for granted in the states.”

Not all successful people are dead set on their bottom line. Jared is a great example of what service through leadership is all about. He shows us that true strength is lowering yourself and serving instead of always being interested in what you can get from others. He might just be on to something.

Giving is the highest expression of potency…Giving is more joyous than receiving, not because it is a deprivation, but because in the act of giving lies the expression of my aliveness.” – Erich Fromm
