THE REAL SIMBA REFLECTS ON HIS JOURNEY THROUGHOUT THE MUSIC INDUSTRY
Born in St. Catherine, Jamaica, The Real Simba is a musical artist with a prolific presence. Not driven by money or fame, Simba aims to be one of the greatest in the music industry today. Filled with a deep passion for his craft, Simba sets himself apart from the rest by being a true artist and infusing elements from his cultural background and upbringing into his music.
Getting his start with music at a young age while still living in Jamaica, he later moved to the United States and discovered even more genres of music including Hip Hop, Rap, and R&B. Growing up in Mount Vernon, NY, Simba takes inspiration from his life experiences, painting a picture in the minds of his fans.
After arriving in New York when he was 7 years old, he grew up learning about American culture, including the Hip Hop scene in New York City. Simba is inspired by NYC legends like Nas and Jay-Z, and other top artists in the industry including Usher, Drake, and Bob Marley, among others. He states:
“Mount Vernon was a wild place to grow up. There are a lot of distractions. It was music that allowed me to remain true to myself and grow.”
Simba aims to do the same for his listeners, aspiring to make music that endures throughout the ages. Simba makes music that connects with people throughout all aspects of life, covering a variety of topics including love, heartbreak, seduction, and fun.
He put out his first track in 2017, but he spent much time before that throughout his teenage years experimenting and making music. Ever since, Simba has been taking his music career seriously, and even chose to forego law school in order to pursue his dream of being an entertainer and performer.
Bringing his unique style and talents to the table, his music is thrilling and captures the ear of his listeners with his high energy and witty flow. Simba shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon, and has the work ethic and upbeat energy that is sure to take him to the next level.
Looking into the future, Simba is going to keep pushing towards success in all facets of his life, and he hopes to expand his brand and bring even more awareness to his platform. One day, he plans on establishing a record company that will elevate like-minded individuals and creatives.
