UK based startup Camlist, has launched a first-of-its-kind video marketplace for pets that brings in a unique mobile-first platform for pet buyers to connect with breeders. 

The Camlist app comes with a host of features with the most exciting being video listings, video calls for live viewings of pets, and the UK’s first pet financing product.

About the launch of the mobile app, Camlist CEO Moustafa Mahmoud said, “Our mission is to provide the safest way for rehoming a pet in the UK. The current options in the industry provide a less than ideal experience and most users go through a painful journey when they’re trying to find their furry friends. We designed Camlist from the ground up to fix all the problems that exist with the current alternatives with a special focus on issues around safety, trust, and convenience.”

The app’s video listings make the general experience a lot more convenient and trustworthy for buyers compared to other photo-based websites where many of the photos are copied from other sites by bad actors. Video provides a much more trusted medium and helps ethical breeders stand out from the crowd.

Camlist introduced the UK’s first 0% interest pet financing product, which they believe should bring reprieve to buyers who have been finding it difficult to pay larger amounts up-front. Any payments made on the app are covered by their unique ‘Buyer Protection Program’ to ensure safe payments for all parties involved. Camlist is said to be working on adding a lot more video-based features that are expected to be released soon including live streaming.
