Turning the Pandemic Into Profit: How K Maldonado Has Made Over $100K Per Month During Quarantine

K Maldonado is one of the few entrepreneurs who has been able to turn the pandemic into profit. With her 3 businesses as a podcast host of “Lady Boss”, a managing partner of a hair business, and a business coach for young entrepreneurs, K has made over $100 thousand per month, all while having her first child and getting married.

“I have mastered what it takes to be a mom, business owner, and wife, and I am completely self taught. Being from a financially challenged family, I knew what it felt like to struggle,” K says.

When K was 10, her mother was sent to jail, and she was left to be raised by her grandmother. At 17, she left home, and made it out on her own. Even at such a young age, K took her newfound responsibilities in stride, and did not let them stop her from pursuing her dreams.

“My biggest motivation for starting my businesses is freedom. I have always wanted to be my own boss, and starting and having successful businesses gives me the freedom to live my life the way I want to without any restrictions,” K says.

Although she may make it look effortless, K will be the first to admit that starting your own business on your own terms is far from easy. She cites the biggest challenge as being able to have more faith than fear, moving forward without any distractions, and staying grounded.

“It’s easy to fear failure, but much harder to keep faith that everything will fall through how it should. To me, fear is a choice. You always have two options: faith or fear. I choose faith because knowing that my life has so much purpose means I can never go wrong, and allows me to face my fears head on,” K says.

Keeping her faith at the forefront of her mind and businesses goes hand in hand with K’s inspiration for her businesses themselves. Seeing similarity in the beauty, public speaking, and coaching industries, K has been drawn to each of her pursuits because she thrives on making others feel good about themselves and motivating them to their next accomplishments, making sure they can live up to their highest potentials.

With her coaching, K’s clients can combat the toughest part of starting a business – keeping a strong mindset.

“It takes a strong mindset to be able to deal with the everyday task of being a business owner and running a successful company. Mentally, you have to be in the best mind state to crush your goals. Having a positive mindset and ambitious attitude behind it will take you the furthest in any career or business you choose,” K explains.

K always advises her clients to just jump headfirst into their businesses. Many struggle with second guessing themselves or waiting for the perfect opportunity to begin. In K’s experience, there is no perfect time or golden opportunity to get approval to start.

“When starting your own business, it doesn’t have to be perfect, JUST START! I want all entrepreneurs to know they can have it all and still be able to accomplish their dreams. No dream is too big,” K says.

Within the next year, K is excited to be working on a new product, podcast, and coaching services that are specifically designed for her clients to love. She is also working on a new eBook to be released in 2021.
