Unlocking the Power of Crypto and Cannabis: Smuggleverse’s Patented NFT Cutting and Stacking Technology

The team at Smuggleverse is revolutionizing the NFT and disrupting the more than $21 billion dollar cannabis industry through their patented flipped-fractionalization technology.

Composed of highly-decorated tech, entertainment and cannabis-seasoned professionals, Smuggleverse is reinventing the NFT through its patented Cutting and Stacking technology.

To paint the picture of how this new technology works, it’s important to first understand where it is derived from. Fractionalization is shared ownership of a single asset.

Flipped-fractionalization, as it pertains to Smuggleverse’s proprietary technology, allows an individual to convert a single NFT into multiple NFTs, while also providing the ability to convert multiple NFTs into a single non-fungible token.

This patented technology enables the gamification of any NFT collection through a process referred to as Cutting and Stacking.

Utilizing this technology, the Smuggleverse founders have created their own unique use case by combining cannabis, gaming and music into a Web3 Digital Dispensary that replicates the logistics and economics of real-world weed smuggling, while providing a valuable bridge between their digital and physical products.

By gamifying the NFT experience with its patented Cutting and Stacking technology, Smuggleverse allows players to purchase digital cannabis in the form of a kilo all the way down to a joint. Players can then cut and flip, or buy and stack, as they work to achieve “Smuggler” and “Kingpin” status, respectively.

It is this flipped-fractionalization technology that replicates the logistics and economics of smuggling, which is unlocked through the utility of Smuggleverse music NFTs.

The gamification of music has been one of the most highly-debated and anticipated opportunities of the last decade.

“Having created our own virtual artist record label, it was important for us to tackle this challenge head-on,” said Smuggleverse Co-Founder Todd “Too Dank” Denkin. “By creating an anthem for each digital cannabis collection, each artist is given a platform to market and monetize their brand. Furthermore, the music is the utility that unlocks the Cutting and Stacking technology, which enables the gamification.”

The Smuggleverse Music Group is the label that has conceived this cutting edge concept of “music as utility” in collaboration with some of the music industry’s top producers and recording artists.

At the same time, Smuggleverse is collaborating with brands and celebrities to create, promote, and distribute custom digital cannabis assets with application in the real-world.

“Everything we do is centered around creating IP with lasting value, multi-platform storytelling, and building brands that span across the digital and physical worlds,” Todd said.

Have you ever wanted to be a smuggler, eluding the authorities and building an empire while living as an outlaw? Sure, that’s pretty hard to do while maintaining a day job or raising a family. But now it can become your new side hustle.

Inspired by “Grand Theft Auto,” the company plans to integrate its virtual cannabis assets into software development kits (SDK) and its own custom Web3 gaming platform.

According to Yahoo Finance, play-to-earn NFT games allow players to experience the combination of gaming and blockchain. In these games, NFTs can be in-game currency, characters, maps, or any other type of game item. The NFTs in these games can be bought and sold in the market, and players have an opportunity to sell their NFTs in the marketplace, or earn additional perks and rewards by holding onto them.

The global Play-to-Earn NFT Games market size was valued at USD 3292.73 million in 2022 and is expected to expand at a CAGR of 17.93% during the forecast period, reaching USD 8856.95 million by 2028.

“We have all the elements and IP to gamify cannabis and music, and that’s just what we intend to do on a much larger scale,” Todd said.
