Visit Interstellar At The LA Times Food Bowl And Try Their Deliciously Authentic Korean Food!

Visit Interstellar At The LA Times Food Bowl

The Los Angeles Times Food Bowl is a three-day long food tasting event featuring live cooking demonstrations, delicious restaurant tastings, wine seminars, and mouth-watering culinary experiences all happening at the historical Paramount Pictures Studio Lot from September 23rd through the 25th.

On Sunday, September 25th, for the Food Bowl’s “Backlot Brunch,” you can experience an exclusive restaurant tasting from the wildly popular Santa Monica Korean/New American restaurant, Interstellar.

Angie Kim, who owns the restaurant with her husband, Daniel Kim, will be serving one of their favorite Interstellar signature dishes at the event.

“It is an authentic Korean recipe that has been passed down from Daniel’s great grandmother and has been in their family for many years. We are really excited to share this with everyone attending the event,” says Kim.

While Interstellar is known for its wide variety of uniquely blended cultural dishes drawing inspiration from Japanese, Vietnamese, Italian and Mexican cuisine, you can experience a must-try Korean recipe at the LA Times Food Bowl inspired by a heartwarming family visit to Korea!

“When Daniel and I visited Korea together, we stayed in his hometown in Busan. Daniel’s mother is also a chef and cooked us so many delicious meals. One that particularly stood out was the Korean-style chicken wings. For a seemingly simple dish, so much attention and detail went into each step in preparing it. It was also one of Daniel’s favorite dishes while growing up. It was a very nice memory to have all of us coming together as a family and enjoy this dish,” says Kim.

If you’d like to try Interstellar’s authentic Korean-style chicken wings and their signature cold brew and coffee, be sure to visit them at the Los Angeles Time Food Bowl for the Backlot Brunch from 2 PM to 5 PM!
